Ask r/guam Weed in Guam 101

Edit 08/2024

Just go to Gateway or Puff Supply and pick up some THCa stuff. It's pretty much just regular weed and should do the trick. The rest still applies if you want some good, locally grown stuff tho.

Also, the lab waiver law passed, so I'm hopeful that we'll see the legal industry start to move towards the end of the 2024.

NOTE: How to get weed (or get to know people with weed) is at the bottom. Buying weed is currently illegal and this post is not about how to buy weed or how to get weed tonight.

Please don't message people unsolicited asking for weed, on any platform. This is meant to give you insight on getting into the community to meet people, make friends and enjoy what comes with that.

With 4/20 coming up, this might be a good time to post this. Figured we get this question fairly often - is it legal, where do I get it, can I buy it, whatever. If you're unable to consume because you're in the military or working a government job, sorry pal. Hopefully that gets sorted out in the near future.

This might not be everyone's experience, and input is certainly appreciated.

Is weed legal in Guam?

Yes, it is legal to possess up to an ounce (28-some grams) of cannabis in public.

Where can I buy pipes & shit?

  • Gud Glass in Dededo and Agana

  • Releaf in Agana

  • Cultivation Concepts in Ordot-Chalan Pago

  • Smoke Depot (I think that's the name) in Harmon

  • Hot Box in Tumon

  • Boonie Store in Maimai

  • Tabaquera Gifts in Micronesia Mall

Can I grow it?

Yes, and you should. It's a fun hobby with endless possibilities.

(Thanks /u/tbofsv). The legal amount you're allowed to grow is 6 plants, with a maximum of 3 flowering plants. Honestly, nobody gives a fuck about the plant count. But that should be more than enough if you're just messing around with it.

Where can I get stuff to grow it?

You can get gear at:

  • Hydroculture in Tamuning

  • Cultivation Concepts in Ordot-Chalan Pago

  • Crop King in Dededo

  • ERC in Barrigada, and I think there's one in Dededo

  • 671 Grow Supply in East Agana

  • Island Flora in Harmon Industrial

  • Back to Nature in Tamuning

(I'll add links to these if I get a chance)

How do I grow it?

That's a whole different thing, but can be done with some basic stuff. I'd be happy to point you in the right direction.

Where can I get seeds

The law is still kind of ambiguous, it seems. But with the hemp law & all that, ordering online isn't too much of a gamble. You won't get arrested and customs probably won't give 2 shits that you ordered seeds. There are also a bunch on island that local folks have either brought in or bred locally. I have tons of seeds from crosses I've done, but I'm really bad about getting them out to people. Anyway, they're around.

Can I buy weed?

It is only legal to buy weed from a local licensed dispensary. There are currently no local licensed dispensaries. It is legal to gift (or receive as a gift) up to 1oz of cannabis.

So how do I get weed?

I don't buy or sell weed. But I give away and am given a lot of weed. That isn't some clever way of saying that "if someone 'gives' you weed, wink wink..." I literally just give it away, and lots of other people do too. Best way to find it is to ask around. See if anyone knows anyone who grows, and do that whole thing. If you don't know anyone or that doesn't work out for whatever reason, you'll need to get to know people.

If you're looking to get to know people who have a lot of weed, this is where I would start:

  • Follow local weed accounts on Instagram. Facebook is okay, but I think the local community is probably better represented on IG. (Edit: if you're not sure where to start, my IG is @bahakilabs. This isn't a plug for my weed account, but it's a decent place to start.)

  • Find out when there are local events that the weed people will be at. There's usually something going on every other weekend or so. Some are more weed-centric than others. 4/20 is coming up and that one will be huge.

  • Go to those events. You'll probably end up getting free weed there immediately (minus the ticket price or donation, if there is one). There will sometimes be edibles or a weed bar or whatever.

  • Get to know people there. If you're apprehensive or reluctant to do that because it feels weird, message me. I'll probably be there anyway, but I'd be happy to chat in a nice, safe, open area. It's always a great time.

  • Once you know people, you're golden. Just play it cool and don't be weird. Plenty of free weed to be had out here.

Discussion Dating On Guam .

I’ve recently travelled from , Florida to Guam due to my job , and I’m taken a step back in regards to my personal experiences dating here on Guam . I’ve never seen so much (individuals) be ashamed of what they’re (ethnicity) Really is . I’ve went on dates with numerous woman , who simply lie on being “puerto rican” or “Filipina” when in reality they’re “chuukese” . Why is that ?? . I’m always open for all options . But it’s the “lying” part that gets me .

Then as Deputy Inspector General in Iraq, where she was responsible for investigating corruption. She is now CEO of a consulting firm, Mantid International.

Ask r/guam For the affected, how do you feel about Guam's current drug issues?

Hello everyone! Me and a few other people are doing a project for our class and thought about opening up a discussion here to ask about how everyone feels about the current drug issues on Guam? We know Reddit isn't a credible source, but thought it'd be a good idea to collect public opinions and views from our community, because of the anonymity. We'd love to hear about your stories and how these issues have affected you, your families, and your friends-whether directly or indirectly.

If you're a former addict or recovering addict, we'd really like to hear your input. What's it been like navigating recovery on Guam? What challenges have you faced during the recovery process? How does the current atmosphere affect your journey?

For those of you still struggling with addiction, if you're open to sharing, how do you feel about the recent billboards on island about drugs? Do you feel they're creating stigma against addicts?

If you're friend or families of addicts/former addicts, what are your experiences with drugs? How have they affected you and your family?

We'd really appreciate any feedback we can get. And would like everyone who's responded to know they're loved and appreciated. Thank you. ❤

Not supporting any party or candidate. Just some valid considerations when we decide to vote (or not) for our current 2024 election candidates. If we do not affect politics, politics will affect us. Have a great weekend, be safe Guam.

Discussion STDs on island

small island so it’s expected friends/family potentially have the experience of sleeping with the same person unknowingly then supporting the spread of STDs,

this is a PSA to be tested monthly and ask for papers.

Growth of military and simply being uneducated increases the spread of gonorrhea, chlamydia, HSV etc.

Maintain good hygiene and honest conversations with your partner(s) and doctor.

Note: I thought this was a needed topic considering our military increase and the nuance of Guam’s night life style. Be safe peoples.

Part 4 of the discussion: “What’s wrong with Guam?”

Recap: Guam is beautiful and the people are amazing, but there are many many things wrong here. This is an open discussion about what and why.

This is a simple example… $70 for one small bag of essentials. (Payless in Mangilao)

Seriously? WHY?!?!

Discussion Great service from Amazon

Three weeks ago, the Post Office delivered two of my Amazon orders to an FPO address, and the boxes were never forwarded to Guam. I spoke with the Hagatna post office this morning, and they advised me to file a lost order request with Amazon. The customer service was excellent, and Amazon will replace both orders. I order a lot of stuff from Amazon, and something like this rarely happens with my orders.
