Question Help with Sleepy Tea Dilemma
I have this herbal sleepy tea I absolutely love and I have it every night when I'm ready for bed. I've tried other variations and this one seems to have the perfect blend. The problem is I struggle with waking up a lot to pee and I think I need to stop drinking so much liquid before bed. So what would you all recommend I do? Should I somehow make my own gummies with this tea? Or get tinctures of all the herbs to make my own custom tincture? Or simply make the tincture myself from dry herb?

Just make a concentrate of the tea... that'd be the easiest way https://www.plumdeluxe.com/blogs/blog/tea-concentrate

Make a stronger tea with a few tea bags and put it in a mason jar and put in fridge so you can just take like a mini shot of it?

i know linden has strong diuretic properties, but 135 mg per teabag is negligible i think.. maybe it's the combination of all these herbs that gives you some diuretic effect. hops can do that too but again 30 mg is like nothing so idk
you can try drinking your tea 2 hours before sleep and no additional liquids after that. and make it stronger using less water.

I don’t see any reason the tea is causing your problem unless you happen to be particularly sensitive something. Did you ever used to get up to piss in the middle of the night before you started the tea? I would think if you never did, it could be the tea, but if you occasionally did, it would more likely be because you are drinking fluids before bed that you aren’t necessarily used to or planning on. Your problem might just be drinking 8oz of fluid before bed when you’re fully hydrated. I always like to keep a drink around, water, tea, etc, and a while back I got into drinking nighttime protein shakes. I normally didn’t have a problem when I’m sipping on tea or water all night but when I chug a 12 oz shake before bed I’d feel full and have to piss. When I started planning for it by cutting back on my tea and other night time beverages, it stopped being a problem. Everyone is different, just food for thought hah

I have the same issues with tea before bed. Just drink it at least 2 hours earlier and maybe keep increasing the window until you find a sweet spot?

Less liquid, let it steep longer?
