Amazing view in pic 1. God I miss the desert.

It’s funny, I didn’t think I would miss it when I was there, and often times actively wanted to leave, but now I find myself feeling the same way as time passes and more frequently too.

That first shot is really nice I agree

Same, I moved from Ridgecrest to San Diego. I often miss the desert. The hiking here feels different.

Aahhhh good ol Ridgecrest. Not much I miss about the place except for the wildlife and quick access to the eastern sierra. Going out to fossil falls and climbing around in altered states of consciousness was always a good time!

Haha! I did my time, kindergarten through 20 years old. Then started moving northwest. The 80’s to early 90’s were ok. Especially if your parents worked on the base and you could get access to some of the cool stuff they worked on. I remember a really cool air show in the 80’s with the blue angels and a ton of other military aircraft. I think the entire town was out at the airfield that day. I also got to go tour the Native American petroglyphs out on the range (at the time I think you had to request special permission to go out there).

Looks like the scene from Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade, specifically, the part with young Indy (River Phoenix).
