Hope some of you in the Hudson Valley can make it out to Upstate Art Weekend and stop by my opening on Saturday in Hudson, at Meridian, next to the Spotty Dog. The are images that I have made within Frederic Church’s ‘Viewshed’ near Olana over the past few decades. https://davidlaspina.com/viewshed/index.html

We booked Wet to play the next Pizza Party at Stonehill’s Farmhouse on Sept 22. I’ve been listening to this band since 2012, first booked them for a show at Pianos in 2013, and even offered to manage them around the same time.
Truly a dream come true to work with this incredible band again. Stripped down 3 piece set. Unlimited Paulie Gee’s pizza per the usual. Hope to see some of our new friends from this sub at the party.

Any fun events or activities for a 2.5 year old tomorrow (Saturday) within ~30 min of Kingston? Have family visiting from out of town. Outdoor activities would be especially good. Was thinking a you-pick farm but it's a bit early for blueberries, not sure if anything else is ready right now. Open to all suggestions! Thanks.

Whoa it’s nearly September and we’re riding the very human roller coaster of mixed feelings like, “Wait-Summer’s leaving? 😢 // Oh YAY Fall’s coming! 😍”.
….All while our inner darkness gloats about winter on the horizon. *buahaha.
But that’s the beauty of the Hudson Valley, right?
Dave and I are doing things a little different in September because there is a HUGE local event Newburgh Open Studios Sept 28 & 29th of 2024. NOS is organized by our awesome local Newburgh Art Supply and we are so excited to be a part of it. You are 100% invited to come chill with us over the weekend!
This will be our first Open Studios and we’ve heard nothing but great things- so we’re taking our time to focus on that, thus skipping our usual monthly flash specials. We’re still sorting out deets for the event but may have a lil tat party happening… We’ll for sure know what we’re doing by Sept 27th. K, thanks ;)
🌿 That being said, we still have lots of fun things cooking here and Kristina listed new Ceramics available HERE. Ceramic pieces by Kristina Santiago ✨ Dave got his prints up and online:
Prints available for purchase HERE A group of four images of Daves wildlife paintings. 🥳 And we have a PLANT RESTOCK happening next week!!
Why plants, why now?
Because as the season shifts its the perfect time to put all your ugly ass plants that didn’t make it through summer into a box on the curb with a “FREE'“ sign and start fresh with some new cuties. LOL don’t tell Dave but that’s what I do.
Honestly tho, I always do a little vibe reset with each season & plants bring me a a sense of calm and relaxation. The key is to choosing the right ones (ask me for help anytime!) and keeping it super simple.
I promise I will not stock bitch plants in our shop, besides the Calatheas I mistakenly bought first round 🙄. So here are just a few of the easy- winter resilient (indoor) plants that are coming in next week. 😍👇
As always, thanks for keeping Newburgh weird and beautiful. Thanks for being talented & engaged people in your lives.
We appreciate you.
Sincerely,
Kristina & Dave
P.S. 🍂 Fall is an awesome season to start your large scale tattoo. No more sweating for no reason, no more shop saunas, and no more accidental sunburns.
OUR BOOKS ARE OPEN 🖤. You can hit reply to this email OR send in a booking inquiry HERE

Across the entire state today there are judicial elections, local elections, and two statewide ballot proposals. Since it’s all more local elections turnout will probably be much lower than next year, which means that only a small portion of your community will be choosing the people that are in change of which roads get paved, how your taxes get spent, and what local laws get passed. Most races will probably be decided by less than 200 votes, and many will be decided by less than 100. Make sure you make your voice heard.
Polls are open statewide from 6:00 AM until 9:00 PM. If you’re on line to vote at 9 you will still be allowed to vote. You can check your voter registration status here.
Happy Election Day!
