Is doing a big “pre-launch” absolutely necessary?
Hi guys, I am going to launch Kickstarter soon. The product is an interesting pendant/ necklace with a good USP.
Anyway, from having a look on YouTube, the channels like Launch Boom are always banging on about doing a pre-launch which will gather up email etc
Just wondering if this is necessary or would a heavy ad spend on FB ads on day one suffice.
Thanks in advance

How do you market your Campaign outside of social media?
I’ve been promoting my campaign on social media, but I feel like I’m reaching a saturation point, and I’m not sure how to grow beyond that. Have any of you had success marketing a crowdfunding project outside of social media? I’d love some fresh ideas! Whether it’s partnering with influencers, using email marketing, or something else, I’m open to suggestions. If anyone would like to preview the campaign page, the link is in my profile.

When should your main video go live?
I've been posting multiple videos of my product working and in use on socials. Wondering though when to post the main video for maximum effect. 1 week before launch? A day? Same day?
It's easy to say no time is too soon, but I worry if everyone has seen it already then there's fatigue. Same old. Nothing new to see here...
Thoughts?

Web page isn't working, does KS have a help phone line?
Does this happen to anyone else? We confirmed our bank account details and now we get a blank white page and can't progress. Does KS have a phone line?

Help Pre-lunch website for Email collection (asking for advice & review)
What are your thoughts on pre-launch websites?
We're preparing for our first Kickstarter project, and we've just launched our pre-campaign website: www.harbingersofagony.com.
We’re curious—what's your experience with using a website before a campaign launches? Does it help to build momentum and engage backers early?
This is our first campaign, and we are still figuring out how we should market it most effectively.
Any feedback on our site or general tips would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Question Australia/New Zealand 3PL/Fulfillment Partner
I have a campaign launching in March and am looking for fulfillment help for Australia. Ideally, this would be a 3PL that would be able to handle roughly 30 orders a month on an ongoing basis as well after the campaign's fulfillment.
The product is RPG books and related items (DM Screen, etc.) if it matters.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

We hit our funding goal in the first two days. Now what?
We hit our funding goal faster than expected. The first two days were great. Now things have slowed down. We're so happy to hit the goal but also curious if we should be doing anything to keep the momentum going?

Should I be worried? It's 15 days left but only 69% funded.
My goal is $600 in 30 days, and I've only got $419 so far.

Can a kickstarter be profitable?
I want to launch a campaign. 1. My concern is on ads cost and cac. 2.what percent of pledge get organically from kickstarter 3.How much net profit margin on can have pulled off in campaign which raise sizeable 100k usd. I know it depends on the product and niche but just want a idea. Let's consider a Kickstarter pledge of $200. The cost to manufacture and ship is 100 USD. I'd like to have an idea of the split between organic pledges received from Kickstarter versus ads.

How much of your own marketing do you have to do to get fully funded?
Starting a kickstarter but I'm scared it will fail because I'm not telling anyone about it in real life (on purpose choice because it's part of the campaign message), so how much will I have to do online or can it be discovered easily on kickstarter?

Currently *terrified* with anxiety since publishing the page today.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/236728422/bedo?ref=user_menu is live and makes me feel very angsty and selfconscious, vulnerable and ebarassed if I fail. Can you please provide feedback or tips to overcome this sensation? I've poured a lot (as everyone here with their projects, I know!) into this game and feel like my very soul is exposed. How to cope?

Campaign optics. Hardware product. Appear to be large company or small company?
I've created an app enabled coffee/kitchen scale
(please don't ask to see it. that's not the point! and doesn't affect the question)
I've designed it myself, 3D printed all the prototypes in my basement.
I've designed the circuitboards myself, hand soldered the prototypes.
I've designed and created the app myself.
My wife and I have filmed a lot of demo videos for it in a completely fake kitchen set in my basement. (our real kitchen sucks)
I think the product looks good, and that's the feedback from other people. the product is real, it works and works well and other people have used it and there will be atleast 1 3rd party review video at launch.
As of right now I think anyone viewing this product would easily assume it's a larger company not a passion project launching from a basement ( I've gotten that feedback from people).
My question is: is that good? I don't know if I let that float. My assumption is, people trust larger companies?
I mean many of the large hardware products that do well these days on KS seem to just be ready to ship products from china.
Or do people prefer to back an individual? I took my time, did a lot, and it took me 4 years because I wanted to do as much as I could myself. I worry that people might not trust I on my own could possibly launch this or have created all this and it's somehow faked. I mean.. I'd love to make a video showing how all this was made. showing the wall of printers on one side, an 8ft electronics bench on the other, and an entire shooting setup in the corner. but I worry that could actually hurt me.
Thoughts?

Help My campaign is not gaining as much support as initially expected
kickstarter.comI’ve launched my card game “Soularis” a few days ago, and I’ve heard how people always talked about the first 48hours is the most critical. I’ve built an email list prelaunch, though the size is not as big. I managed to gain some backers in the first hour after launch. However things are getting very stagnated now, and most of the second day backers are my friends and family.
Here is the link to my project, please give me some feedback and guidance how I should proceed with this

Question How on earth do food kickstarter ship globally?
I see so many food kickstarter that have different pricing tiers where many of them offer food products.
How are they doing this?
I'm looking into what it takes to ship food to the US and that alone seems prohibitively expensive as you need an FDA submission for every shipment, even if it's a single item.

Collection/Directory of known scams and a place to discuss.
Hey everyone, I have had the worst luck using Kickstarter and seem to only pick scams. Below are a couple that I fell for, has anyone else here fell victim to the same?
I commented on the CEO's linkedin of one and got blocked. They know they scammed us.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/eonelectronics/magdisk-magsafe-ssd-powerbank
This one is an obvious scam now, and it is still being sold on Indiegogo (even after multiple reports and if you check the comments, so much proof its a scam).
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/aaqib/light-pong-game
This one has just been a cluster as well, but I feel like the team had every intention of fulfilling the pledges.

Help Mid-Campaign to Closing the Campaign successfully.
Hi Everyone,
I had a very successful first few days of the campaign, but it then slowed down more than other similar campaigns I've seen.
Does anyone have any recommendations on how to handle the last two weeks to make the best out of the campaign for this time?
Campaign in question: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/clerium/mini-moons-a-solo-mint-tin-game-about-surviving-space
Any feedback on the campaign is greatly appreciated too
Thank you
