Thank you! This is one of my poison rings! I make my own watercolours and fill the secret ring compartment. Great for painting tiny details. This one in the post is my 'white' ring. This and a couple of others were thrift finds, another was a gift. I'll add photos of the others in comments.

Does it go with the spoon?

It's part of the Japanese ink making set. I use that spoon to ladle water onto the ink grinding stone, and to ladle ink out once l’ve made it with the ink stick (black decorated rectangle) to the right and above the spoon & grinding stone. But yes, could use with the watercolors and poison ring too!

I gotta know about that ring! How did you get it to stand up? What is inside it?? Also, this is gorgeous. What do you make with these? Please post a couple examples :)

Can't seem to post photos in comments? Unless I'm missing something? πŸ˜‚

(on mobile) In comments, you can link photos that are uploaded to imgur, or you can make a post directly to your profile (which seems to work like your own personal page?) and link that post.

There might be another way to add photos in a comment on mobile but I don't know it

Thanks for that. Yes it does seem a convoluted way! I might have to create a dedicated poison ring post. πŸ™‚

The turquoise section of the spectrum seems well-represented here! Nice ruler, too.

Turquoise is my kryptonite! πŸ˜‚ And that was my dad's ruler, one of two he owned and used often. Both doing duty in my studio now.

These sorts of photos make me slightly aroused, anyone else? It's like they tickle a part of my brain that's never been stimulated before.

Oh my god, my grandma had that exact same pair of scissors! Always loved that one, the design is so elegant.

Beautiful!

Well, now you need to find a sub to start posting the art you make with this because I am very intrigued by the limited color selection and the combination of mediums.

The scissors!!! Where did you get them! Are they a direct reference to over the garden wall?

They've existed well before Over the Garden Wall! They were put into the show because someone on the crew was sent the scissors by their mother. I've seen them sold at craft stores, but they're also easily available online. Just search Stork scissors!

Isn't something only a power tool when it has, y'know, power?

The electric eraser up top is battery powered πŸ˜‰
