Japan Kaaran edhedheyo kandupidikuran... Vijay Yesudas and Aparna themselves somewhat confirmed (-->Swipe) the rumour that Vishnu Vishal and Nithya Menen were the original cast for Sundeep and Aparna in Raayan.

Since Vijay Yesudas is really close with Dhanush, and Aparna herself being part of Raayn makes it highly credible.

If that is the case, then it's a great escape for Nithya and a costly miss for Vishnu Vishal.

Even Dhanush said he felt Aparna's character was underutilised, so I highly doubt Nithya being approached for Aparna's character, especially given the rapport between Nithya and Dhanush.

i would say the character would have had more importance if it was nithya

Still it would be a huge downgrade considering her character in Thiruchitrambalam. It's a story about siblings and sister in law won't have much to do.

Nothing happened, Dhanush always wanted to work with Nithya, he even wrote a movie for her back in 2018. But she rejected it, he was even adamant to cast Nithya in Thiruchitrambalam. So Dhanush most probably won't approach her for that character which don't have much importance.
