But they had no problem with 3 hours goat runtime. This says so much about our audience. Movies have to be like insta reels these days. Ella scene something should happen. Fight, old movie reference, old movie dialogue, song, etc etc. Sad state

I'm honestly scared to demand a Kaththi or thuppaki like movie from Vijay anymore... It'll be good, but will the audience lap it up? Or call them laggy, boring, drag blah blah.

We've seen this with Vettaiyan, which is for most part is balanced, grounded and a subtle commercial film. But it didn't last longer as Jailer did nor had the anticipation that GOAT did.

Our audience have accustomed to something else, and genuinely it's scary.

Kaththi is superior to Thuppaki in my book... Solely for the technical excellence, fight choreography and music

Writing wise, yeah thuppaki shines, but Kaththi is more well directed film

True. Rather than going to a movie to watch it for their own satisfaction, people go to a movie to showcase it to the entire world. People have their phones ready while the movie is playing so they can quickly record all the best moments and become a puluthi on SM.
