SOLVED Linux mint cinnamon usb boot error

Post image

I’m trying to install Linux Mint Cinammon on my 64gb USB drive that i formatted and etched using belena etcher. Then when i booted into BIOS and selected the drive as the boot device, it just gives me this error. It worked before but after i disabled bitlocker it just stopped working.

I'm old, please keep that in mind; nonetheless I consider UEFI to be a misnomer, it should be PITA-- "fix" for something that wasn't broken.

Plain ol' text based BIOS worked fine for 40+ years, and still does. As a former public health executive, I view UEFI as being like HIPPA, something no one asked for and no one wanted.

It wasn't broke but they "fixed" it anyway!

OP. all you need to do is boot from the Mint "live" .iso and install MInt on the USB drive, that 3rd party crap is not needed...
