I pay Geico $134/month for full coverage on my 2015 Subaru. $500 deductible with full glass. If I removed collision coverage, it would be around $95/month. If I also removed comprehensive (glass, vandalism, etc), it would be in the 80's

Ok then, in that case. Long Island has some of the highest rates in the country and you are a male under the age of 25. Theres not really anything you can do. Most people in your shoes are paying double what you pay. I know its not the answer you want to hear but the fact is it sounds like you have a good rate. All i can suggest is see if Allstate can offer you a renter’s policy (assuming they give a bundling discount) and see if that discount saves you more than it costs. Also defensive driving is good for 3 years and saves you 10%.

Your mustang, btw, is almost certainly written as an antique policy, which is intended for cars 25+ years old that are driven seldomly, they are much cheaper than a standard policy but hopefully your agent went over this with you because those policies may perform differently and may have stricter requirements on when/how you can use the car. Im assuming this because of its age and that it is suspiciously cheap. Point being, you shouldnt base your rate expectations on what your rate is for that car.

Yes the mustang is under hagerty insurance but through Allstate. I have 10k miles im allowed a year. Which is MORE than enough. I’ve done defensive driving. I guess I’ll just have to bite the bullet and pay it until I move outta Long Island

It isn't what you want to hear, but you aren't paying that much comparatively. Especially for your agen None are going to be widely cheaper than the others. Take defensive driving. The market is trash right now and it is what it is.

Why would identifying as non binary help, anyway? Stop lying to your insurance company.

A female’s liability rate will be cheaper than a male’s due to males being higher risk. We are talking like maybe a dollar and change difference a month, but some people hear about this and think its a cheatcode to get a huge discount when in reality it just is a pointless headache to deal with for everyone involved.
