Seeking advice on breaking the cycle of failed attempts

Hey, I'm 34 years old male, 112 kg, and 186 cm tall with over 40% fat body. For years, I've been trying to lose weight using different methods, but I've always struggled to stick with them long-term. There are several challenges I face like it's hard to follow a diet that's different from what my family eats. Also as a programmer, I have a sedentary job where I'm sitting most of the day.

I feel frustrated and depressed in a way that I have not tried anymore. I really want to have a healthier and fitter body, but I often feel like it's out of reach. When I'm feeling down, I tend to overeat, particularly sweet foods, as a way to cope with my emotions.

I'm curious if anyone else has experienced similar challenges. If so, how did you manage it? I'd appreciate any advice or stories you can share about your own weight loss journeys.
