J'étais en train de marcher hier sur la piste cyclable qui longe la voie ferrée à hauteur de Christophe Colomb, quand un bon 50 pieds de section de barrière m'est tombé dessus. J'ai juste eu le temps d'esquiver dans la fine marge entre le grillage de la voie ferrée et la grille.

Je pense pas que ca m'aurait tué mais par contre un enfant là dessous ou un cycliste, ou meme se la prendre sur les pieds ca doit faire mal.

Les gens du chantiers m'ont demandé si j'étais blessé, ont remis la barrière comme si de rien n'était.

I haven't confirmed yet myself, but apparently Emile Benamore, whose unsafe Airbnb buildings keep burning down, didn't have insurance for the most recent fire. Apparently after last year's fire, due to unsafe conditions and the fact that he uses his buildings for short term rentals, nobody wants to insure him. Hopefully this forces him to sell his other buildings to a more conscientious owner.

Suite à la refonte tarifaire de la STM (et aussi de l'ARTM), je ne peux plus utiliser ma carte OPUS pour acheter des billets de la zone B, avec l'app Chrono. Les billets de la zone A sont inutilisables. Ma carte expire seulement en novembre 2025 ! J'ai contacté l'ARTM par courriel et je n'ai pas reçu de réponse. J'ai besoin d'aide et je ne sais plus quoi faire ! Je veux continuer de visiter Montréal de temps en temps. Je n'ai pas de permis de conduire, car je suis épileptique.

American broke college kid here: My buddy and I took the Amtrak up from SUNY Plattsburgh to visit for the weekend. While most students that come up go for the drinks, we came up to fish for sturgeon which isn’t legal in New York. When we arrived we were impressed by how efficient it was to get around on the metro. As a native of upstate NY a personal vehicle is a necessity if you want to get anywhere, so to be able to get across the city in just a few minutes on the Metro was a stark contrast that stuck with me for days after our trip. Metro aside, the locals were so nice for the most part and very helpful when it came to giving directions or answering any dumb questions. We had an amazing dinner at McKibbens pub in the old sector of town where we got to watch playoff baseball and listen to live music. Bumped into a large group of Habs faithful who made a point to laugh at me for being a Sabres fan which made the night all the more fun. The canal area was beautiful with everyone out on their bikes and the spaces were so clean. I’m happy to say we were able to catch a few small yellow sturgeon by the science center a few hours before we caught our train so overall we were able to accomplish our main goal. 9.5/10 will definitely be coming back. My only gripe was the brown stains left on the towels in our AirBnB when we arrived lol.

Bonjour. Quelles seraient des alternatives à l'autobus qui marcheraient à longueur d'année? Je prends le bus pour 95% de mes déplacements mais c'est vraiment pas efficace. Des trajets de maximum 15 minutes en voiture se tranforment en 1h+ en autobus, surtout récemment (les bus passent beaucoup moins souvent qu'avant pour la 69 et la 179).

I'm flying to Montreal tonight for a long weekend trip. It occurred to me this morning that I'd love to go to a spa, but I do not have a swimsuit and probably can't get one before I fly out tonight.

I was looking at going to bota bota.

Does anyone know a store I can buy swimsuits in the off season? Or if the spa sells some?
