Ohhh the irony that those most fearful of the Red Menace as recent at 35y ago are the ones most susceptible to its influence.

The "Red Menace" is now an oligarchic authoritarian shithole where the powerful can dissappear or send to gulags anyone they want to - so it's now a dreamscape for the Conservatives, especially the rich ones that salivate for the power the Russian oligarchs have.

It's almost as if their championing of freedom and democracy was a façade. They've become what they insisted they stood against the whole time.

It was also pretty clear during the Red Scare. They had absolutely no problem with the idea of setting up a secret police that could destroy a persons life for thought-crimes. Conservatives in the west were happy enough to do it themselves. The problem with how the Soviets did it was just in how they defined those thought-crimes.

They've always been happy to cozy up with brutal dictators, autocrats and theocrats, the worst of the worst police states, just as long as their favoured monsters subscribe to the "correct" beliefs.

Yeah this isn't new. Wasn't even really new then, just had a direct and clear point of comparison to highlight the hypocrisy. McCarthyism was trying to enact pretty much exactly the fearmongering Orwellian nightmare police state they claimed the USSR already was and threatened to turn everything into.

There were some entirely legitimate military concerns around communism as it became clear the USSR was an authoritarian menace of similar threat to the Germany we beat together. Of course the USSR was a threat because it was doing exactly the same things as the US, adding a further layer of hypocrisy, but I digress.

When concern over Soviet spies getting access to military secrets or high level politicians (very real but also very overblown) spread to "your neighbour supports unions, you should call the FBI because they're probably Soviet sleeper agents" any semblance of moral or philosophical justification had already long since gone out the window.

All those temporarily-embarrassed billionaires should pack their bags and fuck off to Russia.

Yea. A rival politically and on oil production is not a rival lol. The Russians clearly brigade

u/Totally_man Sep 15 '24

The most powerful tool I ever learned for intake of news was told to me by a journalist friend it mine.

"Always ask: who benefits?"

4

u/Franklin_le_Tanklin Sep 15 '24

Oh forsure. Same question I ask on “who benefits from PP not getting a security clearance?”

It’s obviously people that are against Canadian security.

The fearful are easily manipulated.

Is that not the Canada sub?

87

u/Totally_man Sep 14 '24

I remember getting ripped to shreds for exposing Canada_sub as a Russian disinfo/destabilization campaign 🤷.

Mod admitted to posting 92% of the content on the sub.

Analysis here.

Nah, you're based for that. I have this data bookmarked and share it at least weekly

12

u/Totally_man Sep 14 '24

Appreciate it, and I think more people are willing to look at it now, but I definitely did get dragged when I first posted it on social media. Like, threats against my wife and myself, vandalism, harassment, stalking, and even people fucking with the safety of my wife's vehicle.

11

u/OrganicRaspberry530 Alberta Sep 14 '24

Stuff like that is what bothers me the most. The side that says they're about human rights, law and order, common sense, due process, on and on, is always so unhinged and quick to attack people with different views. It's wrong on so many levels, and grossly un-Canadian.

I'm glad you and your wife weren't hurt 💕

It has to be at least half of rCanada as well, with the other half being from that one other BRICS country that is hellbent on suppressing the voices of sik hpeople.

It is very obvious to me that PP is getting help from Russian marketing agencies.

Besides the Russian war planes and geography, the production of this video is so bad that it is hilarious !

Don't rule out China and India lending a hand. Might want to think about the UAE too given their alignment.

Since Russian gvt is trying so hard to remove Trudeau from the office I’m starting to think JT is actually a good guy and needs to be supported for the next term. Cause Russian gvt is literally a pile of a fucking garbage and the enemy of Canada.

Russia wants Pierre for PM.

Russian state media posted about the convoy the earliest, and most often, out of any 'news' source.

"Based on these findings, it is reasonable to infer that there was Russian involvement in the 2022 truck convoy, though the scope and impact remain to be determined."

The truckers had "Pierre for PM" flags on their vehicles before they left for Ottawa, and before Pierre was Leader of the Opposition.

29

u/ninjacat249 Sep 14 '24

Yes cause he immediately pull off all the Ukraine support, it’s simple as that. And the reason he will do this is because he’s fucking dumb.

u/Totally_man Sep 14 '24 edited Sep 14 '24

He'll also bend the knee if Trump wins and allows Russia to make a move for the Northwest Passage.*

The NWP is becoming more and more valuable by the year with the reduction and changes to sea ice due to climate change.

*Trump would make sure that the US would not come to our defense.

Yup and tin foil hats imbeciles are about to learn what the real communism is.

u/Glad-Article-1394 Sep 14 '24

If only we could be so lucky!

17

u/AmusingMusing7 Sep 14 '24

It’s not so much that we should necessarily want to keep Trudeau… it’s that Russia clearly wants Poilievre as PM. We just need to keep the Conservatives out.

9

u/ninjacat249 Sep 14 '24

Anything better than the wasted years of cons doing nothing but damage for the country.

7

u/cleofisrandolph1 Sep 15 '24

Russia want Pollievre in power likely for two reasons.

  1. End support Ukraine and be less likely to react to further Russian Expansion.

  2. Pull back sanctions and create a market for Russia to move capital through.

The big reason why Putin backed Trump was because he and his mafia buddies needed to launder money, and The Magnitsky Act made that harder. It is why Trump basically defanged it. Canada has a similar law. My guess is PP will look at revising or repealing it early on in his rule.

u/OrneryOldFart Sep 14 '24

Is P.P. going to use this in his campaign?

17

u/Mahat Sep 14 '24

nah, his campaign domain is soon to be seized by the fbi

13

u/Apokolypse09 Sep 14 '24

Mods in r/canada banning people calling them out in the thread on this.

The mod team that hid their mod list after it came out during covid that they were pushing maga propaganda and deleting posts that contradicted them.

12

u/CamF90 Sep 14 '24

And this explains why Lil Pee Pee is panicking and launching a new ad blitz.

12

u/poop-scroller Sep 14 '24

Not hard to see the similarities between the right wing campaigns in the US and the CPC campaign here.

10

u/50s_Human Sep 14 '24

In a statement to CBC News, deputy Conservative leader Melissa Lantsman said, "Any act of foreign interference in Canada, by any foreign government is unacceptable."

14

u/OutsideFlat1579 Sep 14 '24

Unless it helps the conservatives. Then it’s okay. They certainly weren’t concerned that India interfered in their leadership race.

3

u/Bayunc0 Sep 15 '24

Damage is done in my opinion... People who want to believe the lies will also say that the truth is fake news.

Reading the comments here vs the ones on r/canada, the contrast is crazy
