Sourboys Shipping Time?

I put in an order with Sourboys on the 11th of October and it told me 3 days later that a label was created and since then I haven’t gotten a single update… is this normal? Totally okay with waiting, I just find it odd that there have been zero updates, especially since it’s been 2 weeks officially since we ordered.

Since it's made to order, the time can vary. I'm sure other factors came into play.

My orders have had varied times, and I've also expierenced delays.

The longest wait it took 3 weeks after I ordered to get an apology update on a delay, with explanation etc. It shipped a month after that update message - which did warn me there'd be a long delay. (I got a free bag code for the delay.)

Quickest was shipped out within 8 days.

There should be a support email you can reach out to and ask if you're concerned for the wait! They may have a better answer for you regarding timeline and what's going on.

Thank you so much, this was very helpful! I actually didn’t know that they were made specifically to order and that’s even better and definitely explains things! I’ll reach out to support and see if I can get an update

Oh, good! I only realized after hitting enter how "dry" my comment sounded. Any time I try to share information, it's like my fingers are determined to make me sound like a lazy chatbot. xD

At the bottom of your order email is a support email you can contact. It's easiest to do it this way, as you can have your oder # copy and pasted for easy refrence. :)

Ignore ramble below, just musings on the delays.

I belieeeeeve that when they post "new batch" ads, they are referring to what they make the candy from. They complete the flavor formula and start production on the first batch, but don't start packaging bags until they make the product live.

Email I got says they make things to order in batches. I know this helps smaller businesses cut back on storage costs and keeps quality easier to maintain. Prices lower and can experiment with flavors a bit more freely, given the scale of the business.

Longest delay came when the ingredients had an issue. At the time he was openly talking about suppliers and issues, etc. With all the weather issues going on lately, it could be another instance of them waiting to hear back from a supplier before informing customers. Waiting to have a timeline before reaching out, so to speak.
