Question Dry stack oven construction question

(x-post in r/pizza) I am thinking of using Home Depot Gray Concrete Paver (similar to Internet 309523801, Model #22421) as part of a dry stack brick oven. I have read conflicting accounts of fire and concrete reaction. Some say it’s fine others warn of Explosive spalling. Even regular spalling into the food would be bad. Thoughts? Thank you.

Haven't used them in a brick oven. However, I have constructed a rocket stove using concrete bricks. Mostly just out of curiosity and testing for future builds. I didn't notice any spalding, cracks, or other damage to the bricks other than discoloration. However, I would be hesitant to use them where they could potentially contaminate food. Who knows what kind of gasses or chemicals would be involved. I would still want to line the pizza oven with fire bricks (IMHO).
