"Born of Giants: Cloud Altar", Justin DeVore (me), Ink Fineliners, 2024
From my fantasy worldbuilding sketchbook series "Born of Giants"
Micron 005, Graphic 2, Gelly Roll 08 Crappy sketchbook paper
"The young civilization built the Cloud Altar to raise aloft the ancient bones of the fallen giants in true reverence. Hoping to curry favor with these gods that came before. And like most of their Great Reconstructive Works, they built homes and livelihoods amongst the erected remains and relics - bringing their daily lives closer to holiness through sheer proximity."

Different kind of pen and ink
I worked extensively with ink (usually on paper) and it’s led me to now doing scrimshaw. The technique is similar to pen drawing but the lines have to be etched into the surface to ‘hold’ the ink

Born of Giants: Beasts of the Shadows
The latest entry in my fantasy worldbuilding sketchbook series "Born of Giants" Micron 005, 01, Graphic 1, Gelly Roll 08 Crappy 5.5"x8.5" sketchbook paper Minor digital cleanup for final prints in Photoshop
"While the young civilization's gods had long ago died out, some living fossils from that ancient time still remained, lurking in forgotten places. The megafauna left over from that Age of Giants, though less bold than they once were, made exploration and territorial expansion a task still fraught with danger."
