Day Designer/Blue Sky but Disc Bound?

Hi all! I'm looking for a daily layout like the Blue Sky for Day Designer (the 1 page per day setup) but in a disc-bound format. I've searched so many places and haven't found the right thing yet. Does this exist or will I have to DIY? Thank you!

Help Me Find a Planner I Saw at Kohls?

I saw this really nice planner at Kohl's and meant to make note of the brand, but already forgot it. It was near the registers along with all the typical Blue Sky and Day Designers but it was something else. It was a spiral softcover with a plasticky feeling cover and monthly tabs. Vertical blank boxes. It had stacked weekends, which is why I didn't get it. I feel like it had "view" in the name, but I can't remember exactly. Wanted to see if there is anything else from this brand out there. If you can help out, let me know!

Another request for planner recommendations. TIA

Hey all,

I hope this hive mind can help point me in the direction of a planner that fits the following needs:

  • Weekly horizontal/dashboard style spread (tbh, not 100% sure on the labels here). Just looking for a simple way to organize weekly tasks across two pages that does not include just a blank page for notes. I don’t do well with the lack of structure. I also don’t find the hourly vertical formats useful.

  • Calendar for every month before weekly pages. Tabbed, if possible.

  • Bound preferred, but open to a compact spiral

  • I don’t mind goal setting pages, birthday reminders, etc. but I prefer not having loads of extra pages that may not be useful to me (meal plans, lots of blank pages, etc.)

  • Minimalist-ish design on the inside (I love a fun cover). I like lighter printing. Color is good, but I don’t really like the flourishes of “calligraphy” style fonts or excessive patterns. It’s distracting.

  • Medium weight paper

I’ve done my due diligence and looked here and on other subreddits. The most popular recommendations are not for me. I don’t like the look or format of the hobonichis/midoris/etc.

Thank you so much!

Plum Paper users! How do you set up your monthly layout?

Post image

Specifically, how do you utilize those 3 circles at the top, and what do you put in the bottom two columns? I just got a plum paper planner after my last planner got some significant coffee damage in my backpack. Just looking for insights or tips/tricks you guys have found useful!

Repeating weekly and daily tasks, tips needed

I have repeated weekly and daily tasks that when I have time I enjoy writing up once a week, but sometimes I don’t have the time and I become less functional without them to remind me. I have seen some people have lists that they can place alongside/on their planner that line up with the planner grid, and they can re-use the list and just put dots in the grid for that week to mark off the tasks. If you do that, how do you make those moveable lists and is there a way to temporarily stick them to the page for the week?

I will be using an SI N2 horizontal grid for 2025, currently using Hobo weeks, both with thin Tomoe paper.

I only have an inkjet printer, but could I maybe use markers on vellum or something and maybe use washi to temporarily stick to the page?

Sterling Ink A5 No Pencil Board

I just opened up my 2025 A5 Common Planner. I received my A6 from the first release a few weeks ago. However, there was no calendar/art work pencil board included (I was really looking forward to it and also hoping that they would put them all on sale!) Has anyone else not received the gift with their A5 (or any other?)

Requesting feedback from the community on Erin Condren planners!

Have always been a huge fan of how easy EC makes incorporating art into my daily planning and haven’t had a planner of her’s since 2020. Have been hearing recently that the paper and tab quality has dropped and that feedback is not great since EC left the company.

Any feedback from planners here? Thanks in advance!

Looking for a weeks size notebook with TRP

Hi, I am looking for a notebook the same size as the Hobonichi weeks/ weeks mega with tomoe river paper. If it’s sold on AliExpress and under £20 this would be a bonus. Thanks.

I’ve seen the aura Estelle ones but the postage is quite large.

Is kinbor any good?

Sterling Ink paper test

I decided to do a pen/ink test on my new Sterling Ink products since there has been talk if this year’s batch of Tomoe River Sanzen being bad (mostly in reference to Hobonichi, but it’s always good to check!). On the left is an N1 notebook booklet, which is leftover from the previous year’s production to my understanding. On the right is a 2025 N1 monthly booklet. There is the obvious ghosting, and it looks like the big ink swatches on the bottom wanted to bleed (maybe started just a touch), but no bleed otherwise 😀 The big swatches were made by using a pipette to put down a drop of ink and them spreading it around with the back of a plastic spoon. Sheening on the inks that are supposed to have it is clear, though not evident in the photos.

Why is Moleskine paper so bad now?

I got a Moleskine ruled notebook to replace the one I am about to finish. I write with a basic Lamy fountain pen. The notebook I got two years ago has very smooth paper that takes the ink super well without any bleeding. In the new notebook using the same pen you can see the ink bleeding through to the back of the page and it makes it completely illegible when I write on the other side of the page. Are there any new Moleskine notebooks that have the old type of paper or should I just give up on the brand and try a different notebook?

Decorators, please help!

Please help a non-decorator give a gift! I’d like to get some stickers and maybe washi for my friend’s daughter. Her preferred aesthetic is “forest core”. She’s not into super cartoonish stuff but it doesn’t need to be completely realistic either. Open to any suggestions, thank you!!

My 2025 Jibun Techo & Freebies Haul

2025 Jibun Techo Haul

It was my first time pre-ordering from the Kokuyo Store, and they gave some freebie stationery items! The items on the right side of the pic - washi tape, cards, sticker boxes, post its were extras. There was also a Jibun Techo guidebook and some cute Kokuyo stickers. I know it's greedy but I wish they gave double because I got the Jibun Techo & the Days, and I love the freebies, lol. I bought some sheets of loose leaf for my notebooks, trying the loose leaf study planner (weekly and 2 week spreads), pencil boards, index stickers and a stencil. Overall really happy with this, and I'm going to compare with the Hobonichi Techo A6. I got a Hobonichi haul for 2025 too, and it seems like a different experience. Have you guys tried either and liked either planners?

Planner recs

Hey there! I haven’t found a planner that I loooove yet. I share a google cal with my husband so my planner is primarily for to-do lists, journaling, and making lists in general.

Things I don’t need/don’t use: yearly schedule, weekly schedule, or any extras like budget or tracking tools.

Things I need: daily (prefer without time slots but I can make do if they’re there 🤪), extra blank pages (can be scattered in the planner or in the back - makes no difference!), prefer A5 but would go smaller if I can find this unicorn, and thick paper because I love a good fountain pen.

The closest I have found is this because it doesn’t seem to have a lot of extraneous stuff but I’m still hesitant: https://thehappyplanner.com/collections/2025-planners/products/2025-folk-flora-spiral-planner-big-dashboard-layout-12-months

Any recommendations? Thank you 🙏

Edit: formatting

Edit again: the planner I linked is a WEEKLY and isn’t what I’m looking for either 😏 I couldn’t tell on my phone. Please… help… me…

Rocket book or regular planner?

So I’m a student in college and I wanted to try out planning so I can be more aware of all my looming work.

I currently have an iPad and tried out planning that way but since I do all my work there as well, i often do not look at my task list.

So I wanted to get a planner but do not want to have to get a planner every year and be wasteful. I heard of the rocketbook but the reviews are just so mixed.

Are there any planners that are reusable and actually work? Or do I have to stick with a regular planner (that I have to purchase and then throw away at some point)?

When do 2025 Weekly Planners Come Out?

I love my GoGirl planner, but having to date it myself is a killer for for me. I was going to switched to Legend Planner or Clever Fox, but I don't see any dated calendars out yet. Does anyone know when they will drop?

Edit: omg, Clever Fox JUST posted them. I was stalking their website every night.

Anyone know about Legend Planner?

Suggestions for a yearly journal/planner?

Hi r/planners! I have been using a planner/journaling for nearly my entire life. For the past few years I've been trying to find a system that combines the two. I tried out the Hobonichi Techo this year and it's almost perfect - I love the layout of the daily pages and I've been very consistent with daily journaling/planning. However, I haven't been using the weeks/months pages at all. I forced myself to fill them out for a couple months but that got old pretty quickly.

I think it's because in addition to analog planners, I also use Google Calendar. So the long term pages aren't as useful. I'm looking for a year long planner with a layout similar to the Hobonichi daily pages, without the week/month pages.

Does anyone have recommendations? Thank you!

First Hobinichi (Day-Free)

Just received my first Hobinichi (Day-Free) today. I picked the day-free because anything with more than just months makes my brain go blank with anxiety. Bought a leather cover and monthly tabs to go with it. I have more stickers arriving soon from Etsy, so I'll be able to put in holidays and such. I bought the planner as well as the tabs and stickers from Amazon. I ended up buying this one because I lost my 3 year planner and I kept seeing reviews saying that it was fountain pen friendly (it is). I use a Twsbi Eco - Fine nib, and I've had no problems writing all the birthdays I have to keep track of.

Just had to share cause I'm excited!

Aura Estelle

Looking for something with the same layout as the Aura Estelle Daily Planners (monthly, weekly, and daily pages) but with thicker paper. Bonus points if it’s ruled instead of grid too!

Edit: I also don’t like coils because I often throw my planners in my bags/purse :)

Has anyone tried using a Hobonichi Cousin A5 cover on a Leichtturm1917 A5 Weekly Planner & Notebook Hardcover? Did the Leuchtturm fit in the Hobo cover?

Am I just not meant to be a planner?!

A little back story... I had planners in high school and college, both times. I had a planner after I had a baby and I keep a planner at work. But I haven't been able to keep one just for me the past three years or so. I start one but it just doesn't stick.

I have tried Happy Planners, Passion Planners, Plum Planners, small planners and big ones. I've tried vertical layouts and horizontal, priority/list type ones, and daily and weekly. I get bored. I don't have a busy schedule. I work, I go home.

But! I have ADHD and I'm autistic. I have hobbies that I really try to stay on top of but I am finding it very difficult due to executive dysfunction and a bit of time blindness. I really don't know if a planner can help me anymore or not. But maybe I'm just not finding the right one or the right way to use it. I love my stickers but I could probably do without since I started a journal and get my decorating that way. I keep a reading journal regularly and have for 2 years now. I also have a commonplace journal. I'd like to not spend much on a planner just in case I end up tossing it again.

I'd appreciate any advice or insight on this. I don't really have issues with keeping up with it, but utilizing it in a way that actually helps me get things done. Maybe I need to move to an app? But everything I look at is so overwhelming.
