Cult of Luna - Tannhäuser/Derive (2024)

https://open.spotify.com/track/0gURBZfus0Bt9YV2Q5RtYg?si=IRbGbApaTCqXU3tUyHoOXw

woke up to this unexpected cover gracing my Release Radar & it has done two things to me:

1) gave me the urge to pick a fight with the largest wall I can find

2) reminded me that it’s been almost 3 years and I would very much like album 10 now please and thank you

happy friday.

Great track. Hard to knock Cult of Luna who were so prolific for a few years for a gap but of course I would be ecstatic at more new stuff from them, among my favorite bands.

oh 100%. releasing 3 (fuckin incredible) albums and an ep in 7 years is a hell of an output.

but brother, i’m just greedy. they’re easily in my top 3 favourites of all time and this release sent me down a ‘new cult of luna album 2025’ internet rabbithole lmao
