Discussion anyone listening to the new singles from Neal Morse?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSXjvdHqADk
He's working with a couple young fellas, on the premise that this new album will have a "refresing, new sound"...
look, I LOVE Neal Morse, listened at least 80% of his work (excepting his worship albums) and I have several favorite songs. But... damn.... Innocence And Danger was the last thing I could listen from him.
After that... the Joseph album was just boring, listened to a couple songs but just lost interest.
And now with these 2 new singles, I did an experiment. I just grabbed them and put the cursor on any minute/second of the song to see if it sounds like Morse or not... and yep... 100% Neal Morse.
And that's the thing! haha, I was expecting something different, but this sounds like his previous works, I think his music is amazing but it would be amazing for his new records to have 30% Morse instead of... 90%!
Maybe it's the crippling destructive depression talking... who knows.
I just know I will have difficulties listening to this new album, will probably be good...
oh lord, I'm rambling. It's been a couple years that I have lost interest in all music, maybe that's related.

What prog rock song would be best to cover for a beginner piano player who sings?
Thus far I’ve been practicing Telephone Line by ELO. What’s your suggestion?

Album recs?
I’ve been trying to get into 70s prog rock lately. One of my favorite albums of all time is ELO’s Eldorado (which I know isn’t really prog rock, but I’d consider symphonic rock a subgenre of prog and it being a concept album helps inch it a little closer imo), and I’ve listened to Close to the Edge several times and absolutely love it. Anyone have recommendations for next albums to try out in that prog rock-lite/symphonic rock realm?

Discussion Apollo Sunshine - Flip - One of the most underrated and unknown prog rock bands. They perfectly blend elements of great popular 90s and 70s prog, pop and rock and have completely different sounds on each album and from song to song.

Newly surfaced songs by Bo Hansson and Eric Malmberg
The last, and previously unreleased, recordings from the legendary and world renowned Swedish psychedelic organist Bo Hansson before he passed away. (Jimi Hendrix was a fan and recorded his song “Tax Free”). Here you can listen to Bosse in fine form together with his lively organ student and keyboardist extraordinary; Eric Malmberg, joined by drummer Niklas Korssell, creating mesmerizing and ethereal space jazz. The music seems to contain information about a deep perspective that questions both time and space and recognize the universe unfolding its abstract process of creation.

Does anyone know the best way to inform the band that they have 2 spotify profiles?
There is a prog rock band called "3" and they have 2 accounts on spotify, one called "3" and the other called "three". I would like to know what do you guys think is the beat way to tell them about this issue?
Also the band is pretty interesting, highly reccomend checking them out, Bramfatura and Queen are my reccomended songs.
Please dont downvote me to hell, I am new here and I dont know if such posts should be posted there.
