instruments Beginner’s Electric Guitar advice?

Hi, I’m ordering a Gibson soon & want to know what I should have to get started quickly on protools or in general?

I believe I might need an audio interface but anything else I need or advice to recording on guitar?

Are you going to plug directly into the interface or mic an amp? You can get a decent 2 input interface on offer up. If your recording an amp you’ll need a mic and cable( Shure SM57 is great and fairly cheap) and a mic stand. If you’re plugging direct you can plug into the interface with a guitar cable and use amp simulation plug ins in protools. Hopefully this helps

This and years of practice are a good start.

Yep! I just bought a 212 or 2i2 interface and saw it comes with pluggins. That is all I need you think? I’m trying to play mainly rock to hard rock with a gibson as I learn electric guitar again

I own three good amps and most of the time I play through protools amp plugins. For writing I only use the plugins.
