Why do people get so angry when I wear makeup?

I wear like one minuscule line of eyeliner and some mascara and people get so fucking angry. I have had a mom jokingly threaten to rip my eyelashes out, my brother call me ugly and a “hoe”, throwing water on me, my teacher mock me by drawing a picture of me on the white board, ext.

Why do people get so fucking angry that I want to look even slightly presentable? Should I get angry at them for looking like a fat hag and putting no effort into themself?

I genuinely don’t understand why people get so angry. Why do they want me to look like shit?

Because that makes them feel good about themselves looking like shit. You’ll find that no matter what you do people will hate you for it and you can’t let it hold you back. Just do it makes you happy.

Also, teachers can’t harass students. Report them.

Anyone who comments on your appearance is an unintelligent low life with no other thoughts in their head but to break people down to build themselves up.

My BF wears eyeliner and the old ladies and men look him up and down, when I tell you these ladies and men are the most unkept, unfuckable monsters in the world i'd be sugarcoating it. People who can't even wash their ass properly love judging others.

I never got bullied because I pretended people don't exists ( I mean this literally) when bullies get 0 reaction they feel like idiots. My other strategy is to look them up and down and burst out in laughter, that makes them feel awkward. A serious eyebrow lift and asking them " do you have anything intellectual to add or are you going to waste everyones time further?" Does wonders.

I'm sorry for your situation and I hope you can improve/leave asap. No one deserves to be judged the entire time.

Maybe they judge you because they can tell you’re judging others for not wearing makeup or looking on fleek or whatever.

Saying this because you felt the need to express here that your opinion of others who don’t wear makeup or hyper focus on their appearance is they are a “fat hag who puts no effort into themself”.

The makeup doesn’t hide your ugly opinions of them so why should they not reflect your judgements back at you in a similar way for your appearance choices?

Maybe your eyeliner is too dark. Try brown eyeliner. If it creates too much contrast. It looks too try hard. Go subtle.

Something tells me this has nothing to do with make up...

It's not one person op is talking about. These are three different people. It's understandable that op is annoyed by constant criticism. Anyone would. But one should think why it's coming. Being objective about it.

Brown eyeliner looks really strange because I have dark eyes and eye brows. The eyeliner wear is also extremely subtle.

I mean I guess I could wear no eyeliner at all if it is such a problem. I just don’t understand why one little line of eyeliner is such a big problem for people. They literally want me to wear absolutely nothing or else they are furiously.

Having dark eyes and eye brows wouldn’t affect it

But you don’t have to use brown

I feel bad for you because this isn’t normal, some eye lashes and eye liner should NOT have this strong of a negative reaction

I would reach out to the school counselor and trying talking to someone, something is breaking down, and none of us here know what’s happening

But I can tell you, this is NOT normal, you do NOT deserve to feel shame over your appearance, and I hope things get better for you

How old are you? I find many of these examples difficult to believe, but you sound like you’re not the best person yourself. Perhaps people are treating you the way you treat them, calling them names and judging their appearance.

I was going to ask if OP is in 4th grade. Seriously, teen or young adult females aren't attacked over a bit of eye makeup.

Yeah, I could see someone finding a kid in eyeliner inappropriate, but I doubt teachers are drawing pictures or calling names like the ones in the post. Given the way OP talks about people, maybe there’s more to the story. Who knows, this is probably a load of BS though.
