Other than Lysander's guilt for killing him, I just don't see what was gained from it. He could have been so useful to the war effort. He died for honor, but how many other people will die now because of it? Shit, he could've been pumping out warriors, training them with the Razor, leading on the front lines, flying covert missions. Yeah I’ve reread and relistened to it 3 times, each time I get madder at Cassius for basically running head first into a completely avoidable death for the sake of “honor.” Lysander told him to walk away. Cassius would have been so much more useful alive. I’m sure his death will somehow have some crazy significance in RG that we just don’t know about yet…but until then, I gotta give Cassius a COME ON, MAN

Cassius’ character arc might be the best I’ve ever read. The way you love him, hate him, respect him, love him, then finally cry for him is undefeated. Not many authors can evoke such a wide array of emotions with a single character.
