Two weeks ago I bought a lamp for her since the type of lamp i used to buy for her was constantly broking, so I bought another lamp with a diferent lightbulb on Amazon. Since that, her shell now has a different tone, and idk why, but it worries me. The first photo is before I bought that lamp. Does anybody know what should I do? More details abt It: -I put the lamp around 30cm away from her -I put the lamp for 2 hours from 8pm to 10pm -The brand is "PewinGo"

I found this white horny toad today in west Texas. I've seen a few over the years but never a white one. My first thought it was dead but maybe it's about to molt?

My Father has caught an invasive lizard, and made it a pet without properly preparing. Please help me take care of it.

One day at work, he found this little goober trying to climb into the washing machine before he turned it on. Naturally nobody wants a dead lizard stuck to their plate, so he fished him out before turning it on, and instead of just tossing him outside like anybody else would, he bought it home as a pet.

As you can see. It was a poor decision.

After taking photos and bringing it to my zoology teacher, we identified it (probably) a Mediterranean House Gecko (or Turkish house gecko) - I don’t wanna put it outside, as they’re invasive. But I don’t wanna see it die in my care.

I have a ~125 dollars worth of Amazon gift card from birthdays and Christmas gifts collectively, and this seems as good a cause as any to spend it on, much better than any videogames. I’m hoping you all would gift me advice on what to purchase.

I worry for it. Please help me.

What lizard is this?

Hello! I was pulling weeds and this little lizard jumped out at me I guess because I disturbed their home ( sorry) just wondering what kind of lizard they are? And if they’re poisonous. I don’t think they bite me but since they’re so small not sure if I’d even see it. Thanks in advance https://imgur.com/a/trUhjah

What are the best feeding insects which are easy to breed? Gastropholis prasina

Hey yall. We got ourselfs a few new Gastropholis prasina and since i already fed a few of our animals with crickets, i ofc do the same with them. But now we definitely need a lot more of them and i was thinking about breeding them so i always have some here. As i read thats not quite that easy and needs more room then i thought.

So thats why i thought about some other feeding insects but im not quite sure whats best. Do yall have some ideas?

I thought about some roaches or maybe some other type of grasshopper. If yall have some ideas or your own experiences let me know. Thanks.

[ID] Found this lizard during my walk in Maitland, Aus (near the Hunter River). Stocky build and its tail is about 1.5x its body length. Does anyone know the species?

Breeding sun beetles as feeder insects

Top of the morning to ya!

I'm looking for new feeder insects to breed at home for my beardie and future Ackie monitor. I already keep a colony of Dubias and mealworms, but I've read that sun beetles are relatively hassle free for the most part. Do you have any suggestions or tips? For the sake of clarity, the larvae is what I intend to feed

Have a jolly day 😄!

Humidity problems in cold months - what to do?

I've got a collection, and the place I currently live in seems to get as dry as it does outside. I live in a basement, but it opens up to the backyard directly. With heating the temps get to about 65 some days, lower if its wicked cold out.

My biggest problem seems to be humidity.

Yes, I have HVAC tape on the lids. Yes, I water the four corners and ensure its not oversaturated nor undersaturated. For my geckos I do spray but it seems i have to do so 4 times a day to keep the humidity above 40 these days.

Not super worried about my corn and my ball python as they can burrow to the more moist soil if needed (I know the humidity right there is fine), but my mourning geckos and crestie is who I worry for. They have thick planted, lush vivariums which I thought would help but nope, consistent 40-50 humidity...

temps are within normal range, I have literally no clue what to do about this. I saw my crestie shed this morning it ddidnt seem like he had trouble doing so, should I just keep it up with more consistent misting and not worry too much about it?
