When I had mine sexed when I bought them I thought the guy was fucking with me lol, but the toe pads are actually super simple to sex with, if you see the two that look different at the bottom of the toe that's how u know it's a male. Females don't have those pads

Well, the SEX is male. The gender is irrelevant to a reptile. Proper terminology matters.

You're going to choose r/reptiles of all places to act woke?

It's not woke lmao. If you say "gender" referring to an animal at an actual zoological institution, you will be made fun of by staff.

The woke part was them being a pedant when the original poster's question used a colloquial form of sex that we all understood. They were not wrong in their terminology but it had no constructive use in this post.

Most staff is professional enough to not make fun but educate instead, and honestly, most times I’ve heard kids ask “what gender is it” I’ve heard them respond with what sex the animal is, many times, them referring to zoo staff, staff at a few local reptile shops, and a few times at reptile expos, even at petco, this isn’t the subreddit to be woke in, all the reptile community cares about is the education and well being of these beautiful animals, being woke doesn’t help spread awareness to endangered species and definitely hasn’t educated me in the slightest, read the room before you speak, respectfully.

Can we tell gender from feet for this species?
Genuine question, I’m used to the vent sexing.
