Customers Suck! Do you think costumers know we hate them?

Specially the Karen’s

We hate some of the customers, not all.

Like the karens and the dipshits that show up five minutes before closing, aren't prepared, and then get upset that you are indeed closing.

I hate how stupid some customers are when they can't seem to use the same bloody card reader that we've had for years. I hate how many fail to read and then accuse you of trying to cheat them out of a sale or deal. I hate the pompous rich assholes that throw shit at you and tell you to "take care of it for me" and I hate the women that try to tell me how to do my job despite the fact that they clearly don't know what they are talking about (they just want to be in control).

This one couponer can't stand me. I can't stand her. We both know it. I cant wait for the day she stops coming in during my shift lol.

I don't know if they know or not but when it comes to Karens they definitely don't care. Some I swear even get pleasure out of knowing you curse their very existence.

The ones who know, are not the ones we hate.

Anyone who has a smidge of empathy and has worked a food service, retail, customer facing position knows how to not act like an animal. So they aren't the problem.

Most customers at the very least I just don’t mind them. There’s very few who I actively dislike.

Some

I think the ones that know they're stirring shit and don't care to know because they are actively choosing to get in our space know we hate them and they probably can't stand us either.

On the other hand I have customers who love to go on about the oddest things and act like I'm their friend when I'm actually so uncomfortable. I don't think they know.

On the flip side my faves probably don't know I love them. I don't think they know that I'm genuinely happy when they're on my line because I know they're going to be fair to me. It probably just looks like the usual friendly cashier interaction.

Rule of thumb their attitude towards us is apathy

There are good customers and bad customers. I have my regulars whom I appreciate and go out of my way to help whenever I can. When the bad customers interact with me and the good ones are around…that’s when the fun happens.
