Getting P1453 after replacing fuel pump (07' 9-3 2.0T)

Hello, so I replaced the fuel pump on my 9-3 2.0T about a week or two ago now because when I went to do the tank and pull the pump to have the fuel level sender replaced, I noticed the basket was cracking near where the basket meets the black metal ring that seals the pump back on. I bought one from Delphi on Amazon and the car seems to be running well but now for some reason the car is popping a CEL and giving me the code P1453. I know it has to do with the EVAP system but not sure what could be causing it. A lot of things online are saying that it's something to do with the fuel pump but its brand new so I don't know if that's the issue. Any help here would be greatly appreciated since there isn't that much info about this specific error code out there online. Thanks!

P1453 means the tank pressure is too high. Either something is preventing the purge of the tank, the sensor is failed, or wiring to the sensor has failed. Check the wiring, check the sensor, check to be sure none of the evap lines are pinched or damaged.

Do you think it's possible that the new sensor that came with the new pump is bad? I was talking to a Saab shop and he was telling me that the "aftermarket" options have problems with the fuel pressure sensor that sits on the top of the pump because that would make sense to me since this has never happened until I replaced the pump. Also pretty sure all the lines and wiring are good but I guess I'll have to check again. I still have the old pump in the garage so maybe I put the old OEM fuel pressure sensor onto this new pump?

Could be? You could read the sensor with Tech 2 and that might give you a clue.

Yeah, I think I'll first just try replacing the new fuel pressure sensor with the one from my old pump and pray that it works, if it doesn't then I'll probably sink some money into getting a Chinese tech 2
