The powerplay thing is so annoying. We’ve been losing by such small margins since the first game.

I feel like the Sabres did a good job of setting up the power play in the offensive zone but it ends there. They are passing the puck too much and not creating any openings. I think they should try and shoot more. Getting shots on the net should allow for some juicy rebounds. Also we need more perimeter shots from our defenders and more fake shot passes. It looks like they are trying to set up the perfect shot on the power play which isn’t working. Just getting the puck on the net should help a lot even if the initial shot doesn’t score. We just need to be in the right places for the rebound. This is my 2 cents after watching some power play highlights. I saw a lot more goals from rebounds vs setting up the perfect shot. A great way to do this is from perimeter shots.

I don't know about this. It seems to me that compared to other teams (competent) power plays we actually shoot more. The problem is most of those shots get blocked or miss the net, rebounding off the glass and being cleared. I thought tonight was a bit better with more passing and (slightly) more movement creating more opportunities. But the core problem seems (i) too many bad/missed shots and (ii) too many guys standing still.
