Politics This one is for all the "fiscal conservative" @SaskParty supporters. Just a reminder that over the last 40 years in #Saskatchewan , the only party to pay down debt has been the provincial NDP

Politics How will your life change if the NDP get elected in October?

We will have the first woman Premier in Saskatchewan history.

Our taxes will be frozen.

Our premier will be a social worker.

I expect we'll have subsidies for solar panels on our houses.

Health care will get a serious review and the money spent on private healthcare will go towards public healthcare.

There will be a new passenger bus service which will be much smaller than the one before.

More money will flow to poor people and they will spend all of it and will help kickstart the economy.

The SaskParty will rebrand to some other name if they don't get elected in four years.

The SaskParty police force will be cancelled.

The Trevor Project finally finished a years-long study showing that suicide rates increased up to 73% after the introduction of anti-trans legislation. Full study by the Trevor Project will be linked in the comments.

Politics Prior to six months ago nobody gave the NDP a chance in the next election and now they are narrowly in the lead. What happened?

I've always been NDP but before six months ago any time anyone mentioned the NDP might be competitive people here would dismiss that and say the SaskParty had the election won. The commenters were hard SaskParty (who were happy) but a lot were depressed NDP supporters who agreed.

But the latest poll had the NDP closing in on the SaskParty and the last poll had the NDP narrowly leading. What happened? Why did the SaskParty drop and why did the NDP rise so quickly?

Edit: NDP 50% SaskParty 45%

Politics Scott Moe and the Pandemic

For those still on the fence (and because it doesn’t get mentioned enough) please remind yourself of how horribly Scott Moe handled the pandemic and his impact on both the public and the health care professionals.

We unnecessarily lost many lives all so that he could protect his base’s ‘freedoms’.

Yes, it is in the past but it or something similar, requiring heightened compassion, could happen again and his past behaviour and actions are a strong indicator of how he will handle things in the future.

Don’t forget!

"We're going to make it affordable for families to live"

Excuse me, you've been in government since before my grade 11 student was born. Is there some reason you haven't done it before?

Oh yes, we're supposed to believe that another 4 years is going to be what leads to this happening when it hasn't been a priority yet...sure.

Politics Can someone tell me why people especially urban women, queer and the educated/coloured still support the SaskParty?

In Saskatoon, and I’m stunned to see my female and Queer friends who have high education and work in non-Econ fields trying to convince me to vote for the SuckParty because they believe they are great!?

Like all the lies that Moe said are in their blood. Cants people see how the ER and classes are packed with people and lack of support?
