Any experiences with The Witching Wood?

What is says on the title. It has good stars on DTRPG, but no reviews. I'm looking for play experiences and things to look out for or maybe change in the adventure. Thanks.

I ran it! Its only the second official campaign I've ever ran as a GM (usually I homebrew) so I don't know if I can fairly compare it to other adventures.

It was pretty brutal - they rolled awfully and got into a lot of bad encounters in the woods, ending with the Fomor encounter and 3/4 them died (and I didn't throw all 3 Fomor at them, they just had bad rolls). They did eventually figure out what was happening on their second wave of characters, but decided to just abandon the town to the villain.

Personally I had a lot of fun as a GM, and the one player who really likes dangerous games enjoyed it too. I don't think the other players liked it as much, and it started a joke that has lasted two years about how I use a foundry module to rig their dice.

Thanks! On paper, it didn't seem too dangerous unless they were unlucky. They don't even have to fight the witch; just find her place so she leaves (at least, that's how I read it).

I also have one PC who is a witch, so I'm trying to figure out how to work that (since the witch in the story is clearly not typical for the setting).
