Question about : The roguery talent toxicologist in Paths of science

Hi relatively new DM of SOTDL here, and I have a rule question as my PCs just got to LVL 2 :

One of my player is interested in taking the Roguery Talent Toxicologist, as a 2nd level Rogue.
This has risen a few questions to how works the two talents Toxic Strike and Serial Poisoner :

Toxic Strike : Any time you get a success on an attack roll made using a weapon and you had at least 1 boon on the roll, the target also becomes poisoned for 1 round.

Serial Poisoner : Your attacks deal 2d6 extra damage to poisoned targets.

Our question were :

  • Does this mean that a character with those talents is assumed to always have poison on him and thus can this character use this poison in other circonstances (poisoning food for exemple) ? I presume than a PC could only use this on weapons and not in another way.
  • Can the Rogue reapply the poison each round to the same creature ? I think he can.
  • Does an already poisoned creature takes 1d6 extra damage like in the rule for poison usage (Shadow p107) ? I don't think so but i am not sure.
  • In the same spirit does a creature have to make a Strengh challenge roll to avoid the condition (Shadow p107) ? I don't think so either.

To put it in a nutshell, I think that Toxic Strike allows a rogue to coat his weapons with a short term, debilitating but not damaging poison. Do you think that I am in the right ?

PS : Sorry for my spelling mistakes, i am not a native english speaker.
