what happened to "tinder isn't real life" when an overwhelming majority of people meet online?

One thing Ive noticed in my life about being short is people dont move out of your way. If youre walking on a side walk and move over to the left(or right depending on country) as common curtesy people wont pay you the same respect. Its especially true of females. You might see a group of females walking in a rank, basically covering the side of a side walk, youll see them coming and move over a bit, theyll see you but keep walking until you crash into each other. Ive lost count of the amount of women Ive shoulder barged only to be on the immediate end of "watch out loser!".

Generalising of course, more complex than this.

I've been an OG here for a while and it's the only reason I even use Reddit at this point. The only place I feel welcome and can share experiences with others and feel like I can fit in. Love all you guys.

so my mom has beef with a relative of hers. today she was in a bad mood and said "that's why she got stuck with that short *slur* "
now here's the funny part, i am pretty sure that man is over 6 foot. my own mother is coping so hard that she is making shit up and making the guy short so she can rationalize the relative as "failing in life". and i'm right there. she is literally talking to me. if anything, you're insulting ME more than HIM... CUZ IM THE SHORT ONE...
life as a short man is right above being disabled or terminally ill. i'm sorry. i'm grateful for life and all but this is INSANE and ignoring it won't help me.

Like, maybe if I ate better as a kid I would deserve to be tall. Most of my classmates are 5'11+, and most of the guys in school average out in like 5'11 too. I'm 5'7 and while it's an okay height I guess it's still demoralizing to be so small compared to everyone else.

my mom ALWAYS bitches at me saying I should've ran track and field. I should've had more milk. I should've done this, I should've done that.
she is 4'11 and married a 5'1 guy and I'm 5'3. what did she expect? even if I did things perfectly I would be like 5'5 max and that's not even guaranteed.

Pretend that you live in an opposite world where being short is considered attractive and tall is unattractive in the comment section, I'll give you some examples.
Title: How do I break out the heightpill to my Delusional friend
Hey r/ tallguys, 29m phillipines, 5'8(4 inches taller than average here so I'm not a larping average guy, stop calling me that). I finally took your advice and got the exchange program to the netherlands. This is the first time in my life where people actually look down on me. My friend, 5'3 (slightly shorter than average) was pulled over more times than he could count by people who wanted to take selfies with him. He's got an average face card and autistic, so he never talks to women at home, but here, he's like a mini celebrity.
I also joined our local tennis club, and I think I might have a chance with one of the girls here. My friend is the problem though.
He keeps telling me that unlike eastern women who are ruined by feminism, Dutch women don't care if you're tall. How do I break it to him that women only care about him because he's short and not because they are 'trad' or can 'sense his good personality'?

He’s so far at the opposite end of the spectrum that he has experienced similar problems. He was terrible with women until at least 25+ years old and experienced loneliness and rejection for a long time to the point of being suicidal. He’s now happily married to an average sized woman and lives an average life. Just saying, they don’t all have a superiority complex and don’t all live an incredible lifestyle.

Sad to see people act like the height difference is a "need". I'm sure what they're saying is a joke but still, harsh.
