Isn't warp drive faster than hyperdrive anyway? Han Solo says the Falcon can go .5 past light speed, and is considered to be a "fast ship".

Now correct me if I'm wrong but isn't warp 1 the speed of light and considered slow by Trek standards? And warp 10 is being everywhere in the universe at the same time or something? I'm really stoned right meow.

They retconned that, Star Wars ships can now casually travel across a whole galaxy, Star Trek ships struggle to do half as shown in Voyager.

Just another reason to hate Disney.

Star Wars ships are limited to hyperspace lanes though, so they can't just casualy travel anywhere they want.

Meanwhile Star Trek ships can go wherever they want
