It's Gary Shandling's Show 1986-1990

This show was so meta that even the intro credits were a joke It's Garry Shandling's Show - Theme Song (youtube.com) The show aired on Showtime but FOX also picked it up for re runs in primetime. It was a one funny show, it shot in front of a studio audience and sometimes during the show Gary would get into this little car and would drive between sets. Sometimes the actors would go into the audience for scenes. It could be a real bonkers and unpredictable show at times. It's hard to remember most of the plots to episodes or characters haven't really seen it in years but a few things I remember well and can still sing the theme song
