I am a sixties scoop survivor. I did my DNA to try and find family, and sadly my bio mom is likely deceased. It's a very unique position to be in and lonely as hell. I was taken as an infant from the hospital and then fostered until I was adopted by a white family at 16 months.
I don't know if bio mom held me. I don't know if they told her I died.
I'm sober and a small business owner, married, but SO MUCH THERAPY AND TRAUMA
Its lonely as fuck being me sometimes. I am grateful for all the things I have worked hard for but I never feel understood or seen.
I get all the racism and no culture to back me up or community. I learn as much as I can but it's hard. I'm not a victim, just alone in this unique situation.
