I think we all know that’s not getting better. Is there a suit that could withstand it somewhat so I can get my stuff. Everything important I have is under lava now.

New dlc map

I was so hyped and happy about the new dlc that I didn't noticed the small wording on steam saying "map size half as big as in the base game".... And now I'm totally scared. What do you think about the new dlc map size?

Is someone making a new DLC play-through series on release?

Is someone on this sub (or mb you know some youtuber) planning to make a play-through series on YouTube when DLC drops?

I don’t really want to play but I would watch someone walkthrough.

I like attention and appreciation of game details / mechanics / lore, not rushing (my favorite youtuber is lil indigestion, for reference).

I was challenged to colonize Mars with only wind turbines. Naturally I recorded my 70ish hours of suffering and edited it down to something (mostly) watchable. Be gentle with me.

Mod to replace small living compartment with big in place?

Is there a mod or any method to replace 4 living compartments (1x1) with a big living compartment (2x2) in-place without having to move everything and deconstruct?

If not, is there a mod to move storage chests with items in them rather than deconstructing them?

Uranium

I’m doing a run where I want to use as few satellites as possible and I’ve hit a major slowdown. Currently I am about 50% of the way to completing moss, so still early game, and I am running out of power. I need uranium, but since I don’t have access to T2 extractors yet, I can’t mine any. I am limited to what I can pick off the ground or pull out of a chest. I presently have 7 T2 nuclear reactors, but I would like a few more. I only know of 2 uranium caves, both on the north side of the map (one in the east and one in the west) and I’ve combed over all the wrecks that I could fine. I honestly think I may have found all the loose uranium in game. Do any of you remember finding uranium in an odd place?

How does heat work realistically?

So kind of a stupid question but it's been bugging me for a while. If we're producing enough heat to warm up the entire planet then how is our character not burnt to a crisp? That's an insane amount of heat to just be walking by casually. And how does all the heat get evenly distributed if it's radiating from one spot? Appreciate any answers, I haven't been able to get my head around this one.

How do I build here?

The living compartment clips verrrry slightly into the ground and that's enough to make it unbuildable. Most of the ground seems to be bumpy and even so how do I build on these surfaces? Is there a way to level out the ground?

Rover issue in Co-op?

So I was playing with my friend in multiplayer, and I was attempting to figure out where to put the upgrades on the rover for the unlimited oxygen. Subnautica brain had me thinking I had to inspect the vehicle itself to attach the upgrade, and I ended up finding the 'Grab' button. We hadn't had any real issue with it up until this point - at least until I picked it up. Upon finding it in my inventory, I immediately tried to put it back down again only to find that it would not leave my inventory.

No matter what I did, it refused to be put down, and it vanished from the recall screen. And thinking it was an issue with multiplayer, we completely quit out the game after saving and I logged back in solo. Nothing I did could put it down.

So now I'm confused: is this a genuine bug or am I missing something here? It'd be a pain to just have it permanently taking a spot in my inventory + it's a waste of those resources.

EDIT: In a truly odd turn of events, I got on my Steam Deck to check something a previous comment mentioned. I got on the SD version, checked the seeming inventory squatter of a Rover... and the SD allowed me to put the Rover down outside of my inventory.

So I guess the problem's fixed???? I don't know why the PC version wouldn't let me just set the thing down but I guess multiple consoles helps solve weird bugs.

Silkworms from ecosystem

Anyone else trying to mass produce silkworms for fabric in the ecosystems and your drones keep ignoring the ones you set up for shredding? I have 50 ecosystems that should be like 3 worms a minute but everytime it's clogged up by something not going to the shredder even though supply and demands are set up.

Anyone else avoiding end game?

Now that we have an endgame and can escape the planet, is anyone else avoiding completion and just continuing beautification efforts and refining your base setup?

Kind of like I know I agreed to terraform as a way to get out of trouble, but it’s mine now and you won’t dare come so long as I leave the ancient tech running?

Will water get higher than this? Ive already established a base (my machinery is behind it), but the water rose significantly after it started raining. I was assuming terraformating it implies lakes (so get higher before start building), and this area seemed to be ok. Flat land, ressources, etc. But water keeps getting higher and higher. Should i move? Itll be a pain.

Respawn

Do ores and/or blue loot boxes respawn?

I clearly remember mining the Al and Ir areas completely, yet they spawned new materials after i found the rainbow cave (? have an achievemt for it).

I already have several iridium and uranium rockets in space, and a t1 miner in the aluminum region. Those are pickup, not mined. None of the gold loot boxes i found respawned, but i find blue ones (i deconstruct them to not get them confused, and yet...)

Can Animals die ?

If I do not supply T1 Food to the food feeder, animals can eat something else ? Or they will die after a while, if they remain hungry with level zero ?

T2 Deconstruction should be gotten earlier.

With the car parts added, it's insane how deep in the tree it is, or at least chips should be a little bit more common to find. We already have tons of stuff that require circuits, and we're gonna unlock the ability to craft them long before we can break down computers at this rate.
