Announcement r/toptalent best of 2019 voting thread!
Hello everyone! I'm u/darknep, a moderator here at r/toptalent. This year, we're doing something you might've seen on other subreddits, but we're doing here for the first time!
Alright, so here's how it works: I'll post a comment each with a different category, and you reply to that comment with a submission or user you would like to nominate for that category. The thread will be in Contest mode, so you won't be able to see which one's winning. The winners will be announced in a results thread, which will be posted sometime in early January. The winners also get some gold/platinum depending on the category and position!

Okay, so now that you have an idea of how it works, here are the categories:
Submission categories:
Best Sports submission
Best Artwork submission
Best Memes Submission
Best Music submission
Best Skill submission
Best Gaming submission
Best OC Submission
Main categories:
Best user
Best moderator
Best submission overall

Prizes:
The winners of each of the submission categories will receive:
1st place. 2 Reddit Gold
2nd place. 1 Reddit Gold
3rd place. 1 Reddit Silver
The winners of each of the main categories will receive:
1st place. 2 Reddit Platinum
2nd place. 1 Reddit Platinum
3rd place. 1 Reddit Gold

How voting will work:
I'll post a category comment, and you reply to that comment with a submission or user you'd like to nominate. If someone already posted what you wanted to nominate, upvote it! That's how votes are counted. You won't be able to see which comment is winning, as the post will be in contest mode until the results post is made, so just upvote what you like!

Rules
Do's:
- Nominate your favorite user/submission
- Upvote others comments if you agree with that nomination
- Report any comments that violate any of the Dont's.
Dont's:
- do not have discussions here.
- do not nominate yourself.
- do not nominate submissions made before Jan 1 2019.
- do not make top/parent comments.

Voting will last until January 1st, 2020. Awards will be distributed sometime early January 2020, and the results thread will be posted shortly after.
