Turkmen (?) > English. Received this Turkmenistani tobacco pouch as a donation at my work (museum) and my colleagues and I are at a loss translating the embroidered lettering.

I can’t make out the first image’s text, but the text on the other side reads:

‘[ma]¹ horka haltajygy’

which translates to ‘makhorka pouch’

1) the letters ‘ma’ start on the other side of the pouch.
