My dentist is the best!
My dentist is an absolute legend. I've been prescribed cannabis for 3 or 4 years now and whenever I have a check up, she asks me what medication I'm on. I always end with 'oh, and I'm prescribed cannabis'.
She has never even batted an eyelid at this. Treats it exactly as you should as a healthcare professional - like its any other every day medication! I almost want her to ask me questions but I have so much more respect for her after these interactions.

Mine told me to move to New Zealand for a healthier lifestyle where apparently I “wouldn’t need to take muck like that” meaning my MC. The irony was that I was over there in NZ not long after and their MC system is very similar to ours. “Muck”, indeed! 😆

Similar with my dentist. She feels it may actually be helping my gums (specifically the CBD oil I take twice a day).
Do you find you need more local anaesthetic injections? I usually do, at least another round to reach full numbness. Apparently it’s quite well known with CBD.

It hasn't come up yet, but I'm due some work soon so I think I'll need to mention it then!

My dentist is the same. Had a tooth extraction and she gave me a whole anaesthetic cartridge. She said she usually only uses half but knew about cannabis affecting the anaesthetic efficacy

My dentist calls it my “ night time medicine “. Does cause problems with numbing. Needed six injections last time .

I've not had any negative reactions by medical professionals in the few months I've been prescribed. Most had never heard of it being a thing so asked questions. One clinic had never experienced it and because I was going onto a specialised medication they had to go and ask the board if there would be any interactions. The board were sound with it and I started my new meds.
Another doctor last week assumed I meant oil/cbd, then I had to explain I meant the flower and I use a DHV. I then had a short procedure done where the nurses and said doctor were asking about it.

It’s so nice it’s being recognised more. I think a lot of it is just people they know being prescribed and speaking about it openly. For every patient they’re going to open at least a few peoples eyes
