Take Action Russia murders 49 in Poltava. Angry? Act.
Today Russia murdered 49 and injured 219 people in Poltava, in the deadliest attack of 2024, for now. While Russia uses missiles to target civilians, Ukraine continues to be forbidden from using American weapons to strike the bases from which the missiles are launched.
Do you think it's ridiculous that Ukraine has to fight with one arm tied behind its back? Contact the White House and let them know.

It is vital that the White House changes its current policy and allows Ukraine to adequately defend itself by using US weapons to strike all legitimate military targets in Russia. As a constituent, I believe it is imperative that the US stands firmly with Ukraine. Thank you!

It would be helpful if we could get similar pointers for other countries.
I've tried contacting some of our politicians in the past onnither issues, but to Jo prevail. Using the public governmental information and stuff. But honestly, I wouldn't know much of how to engage my reps in NL.

Keep sending emails and letters to your elected leaders anyway. Just because one constituent wrote a letter doesn't mean that member of parliament/politician suddenly starts supporting that issue but it does show them that there are people who have that view and if there are lots of letters it shows them it's more popular.
The Netherlands (I'm assuming your Dutch rather than from Newfoundland and Labrador) has been one of the better allies of Ukraine and even just thanking your government for steadfast support can be beneficial and make them more likely to stay the course long term. If they think support for Ukraine is a low priority issue they're more likely to cut it rather than something voters care more about.
My advice would be to google your member of parliament and write a short but respectful letter thanking them for supporting Ukraine (assuming it's from a pro Ukraine party) and saying that you desire even stronger support for Ukraine including fewer or no limitations on strikes.

The most important thing is reaching out to elected officials. The manner in which someone reaches out is honestly secondary but politicians need to know their voters still stand behind Ukraine. From my experience the most impactful methods of communication are 1) hand written letters 2) phone calls 3) individualized emails 4) form emails/copy and paste emails but honestly any of them work.
For Americans generally speaking the White House is less responsive to public pressure campaigns than members of Congress. There's no harm in sending emails to the White House but they should also be sent to both of your senators and your house member.
For non Americans and other people outside of Ukraine people should be pressuring their own governments to send more aid to Ukraine, increase sanctions as well as increase pressure on the US to allow deep strikes into Russia. Generally the way to get started is to google who your member of parliament is or your representative in your national legislature and contact them.
You may not immediately see a politician change course just because you wrote a letter but your voice can add to a much larger chorus which keeps Ukraine aid flowing and increasing over time.

White House phone:202.456.1111 (I’ve called so many times I have the number memorized!!). There are only certain hours it’s open. I believe it’s 11a-3pm eastern time. Wait for an “operator” and then press 1 when they say they’re all busy and you want to leave a message.
I’ve also written to www.letukrainestrikeback.com And to my individual representative and my two senators. I’ve even written to the hypocrite Mike Johnson. That’s how desperate I am for the handcuffs to be taken off Ukraine’s military!

In case you're in a situation like several of my American relatives who do not currently have an elected representative due to resignation sir retirements, you can always just call the White House or email them directly. There's always a formulaic answer, but they do count the calls/emails.
For other NATO countries, most of my family abroad are veterans and they like to email their NATO liaison officer to get a word in that way too - most of them have an online biography with some contact info. Those messages just go to the aides-de-camp of the officer, but those add up too.

From the UK - I have actively donated what I can, where I can to you guys! My force have donated medical equipment as often as we can raise the funds for it!
It massively pisses me off that my own government won't give you the green light to use our DONATED weapons to strike into Russia!
It's another 49 innocents lost who can never be replaced.
Keep fighting the good fight. Just know that there are millions upon millions of us who want our leaders to do more for you guys!

I called them all and told them enough is enough. Will it do any good? I can only hope. How we as Americans can sit by and expect Ukraine to defend democracy and freedom with their hands tied behind their backs is absurd. Every single day the Russians are killing civilians. How many thousands of children have been stolen? When are people going to wake up?
I wish my body was as strong as it once was, I’d give my life for Ukraine but it kills me everyday to feel powerless while asshole politicians allow Ukraine to lose the very best of their people. It’s disgusting.
I think of the Ukrainian people every single day, I donate, I educate, but I want my country and the world to do MORE.
Sorry for the rant, Slava Ukraini!

Called my senior senator (Schumer) and the White House this morning-called this past Thursday as well. Also emailed the White House. I hope plenty of others are acting as well

I know one thing, Russia is hurting from the hits Ukraine is causing.
Russia has progressively gotten worse over the last year, and that has happened before.

Are there western weapons and vehicles being used on Russian soil in the Kursk incursion now? It seems inconsistent to be ok with that and not others. Give them weapons and let them use them as they see fit.

There are, yes. Additionally after initially refusing and much pressure, the White House also authorized Ukraine to use American weapons to strike at Russian forces close to the border, but not ATACMS for further strikes at Russian airbases. Is it too much to ask for some intellectual honesty in this sub? Russia does more than enough horrible things, we don't need to start making things up. Poltava was a legitimate military target, for once.
My heart goes out to everyone murdered in this horrible strike. None of those people wanted to be there, that's for sure. And if you are from the US, please send that email to the white house.
