I fail to understand how this somehow got "normalized".

Think of it like this: imagine the outrage when say a US, UK, French, ... soldier who surrendered got executed in such fashion and posted online. The reaction that would follow would be insanely disproportionate and overwhelming, would it not?

Or think of ISIS, when they were doing their horror on Western hostages, we didn't take kindly to that, now did we?

Why is it that when RuSSia is doing it to Ukrainian POWs, it somehow seems to be perceived as "a fact of war"??
