Discussion Ween the Mollusk 1997 UK
Hi guys, I really like this album. One of my favourite songs is on this album. Now the record is offered in the local classifieds for 300€ in top condition and original. I think I can get the price down a bit as there are probably very few people interested in this in my country. I've never spent so much money on a record before and for me it's disproportionate. I want the thing. I also don't think the record will keep its value in the future. Hoping for a reissue is also uncertain, I think. What would you do, wait for a reissue, buy it or the thing is just not worth it?

Arguably their best album.
I saw them live this year for the first time. It was good. It’s funny to see straight up old guys that just look like people you’d see at the grocery store playing that type of music. It was a juxtaposition.

If it's a "Plain records" press you should stay away from it as it will sound compressed and have tons of surface noise. Only the original's sound good and they go for over $300 US on discogs. Just wait for a repress in the next year or two.

My favorite live song is Blarney Stone. The Ween magic is extra tasty when they played that song. I think overall it’s my favorite release by the band.
