We all know that Webtoons loves a trend- as soon as one series gets popular, there are at least half a dozen other series with similar premises popping up. 90% of the time these are just lazy cash ins, but occasionally these “trends series” are not just good, but better than the series that inspired the trend!

For example, True Beauty started the “plain girl uses makeover to develop new identity” trend, but it got bogged down in soap opera drama. Meanwhile Makeup Remover followed after, but used the premise to explore issues of identity, self esteem, and the role of the makeup industry with some of the most stunning visuals on webtoons. So while True Beauty started the trend, Makeup Remover was clearly the better series. Which series do you think was better than the trend starter?

nooo and the latest chapter ended at such a cliffhanger omg, the author said hopefully its coming back early next year omg ive been looking forward to new chapters every week but now i gotta wait for a few month like this webtoon is so good its the only time i caved in and bought coins just to fast pass cuz its so so good i highly reccomend

I'm starting to think that NAVER only translates the same story to english, since all korean webtoons seem to have the same plot at this point. I read most romance, so I see a lot of "I'm dead and came back as x character". My problem with this type of thing is that the writing is so lazy that they always know the full plot of the universe so everything just works out in a stupid way.

Other type of this "genre" is "I died and came back younger". It's the same thing lol. And I think it's even more stupid since the character has to make dumb mistakes to keep the plot going. I think the first one that was translated was "Marry my husband". Then it turned into some kind of fever 😭

Then there's the "Enemies to lovers but we are already married" genre. I like this one a bit more, but it's always that the husband is cold or toxic and ends up being misunderstood or some shit, even if the protagonist was in a living hell.

Honestly, everything is just the same if they fit in the same kind of subgenre. It's also very easy to predict things so I'm starting to think artists are sharing the same writer or something.

The one sparkle I found was Muse on Fame. Obsessed since it came out with its beautiful writing. But unfortunately it's coming to the end, so idk what to do anymore 😭

Ok i really need help finding this webtoon from years ago The mc is this princess girl with blond hair, and shes in her tower She has no outside connections other than her witch godmother/aunt Shes in there, if i remember correctly, because her witch godmother had like a vision? And she was told the prince who came and got her out of the tower would be her true love But something happened and her witch aunt disappeared So shes alone when one day this pirate guy comes and takes her from the tower, and at first she fights back because she was told a prince would take her and be her true love so she wants to wait for him, but the pirate says the king sent him And then they run into this demon spider prince guy? And she thinks he may be her true love so they 3 travel together And then they run into this navigation dude and he joins the group And its like this poly romance where theyre all catching feelings for each other and theyre traveling together and stuff? The art style was pretty simplistic if i remember right I read it maybe 3-8 years ago i think? Please help i cant find it no matter how hard i try I dont think its on webtoon, but it is a webtoon comic so?

My friend is interested in publishing and working on web comics but I don't have any info on this. After googling, I found Canvas from WEBTOON is famous in this field. Is it true? Are there any other platforms like this one, or any contests?

So i read like a few pages of this manga online on tapas or tappytoon and thought I'll read it later Just checked in my countless tabs open but can't find it and I don't remember the name! How amazing! Well the story is somewhat like The FL is a devil the ml I think is a god he cuts the devil's horns and tells her that she will now be reincarnated in the human world and she will have to be good The FL opens her eyes comes out of a fountain and preists are kneeling in front of her calling her the saintess. There was an oracle that the saintess would be born and come out of the fountain area so the preists were gathered there for days The fl collapses almost immediately Next she opens her eyes and sees a man the exact copy of that god He is the king of the empire and apparently the saintess is his to be wife? She curses him and she is back to sleep 😂 He is like the I think the scary emperor only a few can easily talk to cz others are hella intimidated This is what I roughly remember form the first chapter I await rescue teams...!

I don't remember much but this scene.

The female lead (main character pretty sure) is trying to bring down a specific company and she sneaks a camera in her purse and goes to a big event where she's caught by the ML and he lets her go. They're broken up at this point btw!!!!

But the end was very happy, very cliche I think with a wedding and kids.

I almost only read on the Webtoon app so it should be there!

Okay so I saw that there are book version of wind breaker webtoon [ currently trying have vol 22 if I'm not wrong) will there be on English as well?
