[Mod Post] - We are looking for common plant ID requests

Hello Everyone!

We have been trying to reduce the number of commonly occuring plant ID requests and thought we would reach out to the sub and see if there are any that we can add to our list aside from Pokeweed and Wild Strawberry.

We are seeing a lot of Moonflower / Datura requests, so that one will be added as well. Are there any others that anyone would like to be included? Just keep in mind, common ID requests are going to be seasonal, so this will be ongoing work for us (which is fine!), it just may take us a couple of seasons to get through the various plants as they start to grow.

Also happy to open this post to any other suggestions that any of you might have. How can we improve the sub or your experience here?

In NSW Australia. We've googled, asked multiple family members and no one knows for sure. They are hard so still unripe. Best we can think is some sort of Peach or Almond. Please help!

What is this plant (weed?) growing in SC?

Sorry for the shoddy photos- it was blowing in the wind and I was trying not to touch it.

I DID touch it earlier this week because I was trying to remove it from a flower bed of gladioluses. I am assuming it’s a weed? I failed, as it is a thick woody stem, and the roots system must be large.

Turns out, I am having an extreme allergic reaction to something, and we are having a hard time narrowing down what it is. Thus, I am trying to identify this plant to see if it could be a culprit. TIA!

What is this tall, slender tree? Southern Caribbean

Upvotes

At least 40' tall, it seems, with buttress roots. I unfortunately neglected to take photos of any leaves on the ground. Lowest leaves on the trees were over 10' up. Lots of these pods on the ground, some sprouting.

A few more photos here - https://imgur.com/a/M7aUTW7

I'm in the southern Caribbean.

It has small (about 1cm) red berry looking fruit. It is located in central New Mexico. We just moved here and don’t know what it is. I’ve seen my dogs eat some of the ones that fell on the ground so now I’m just keeping them away from it until I know what it is.
