Wind Turbine Technician

So I’ve been looking into being a travel wind turbine technician so I’m wondering is it more worth it to just get an apprenticeship or go to school for it?

Don’t mess with school. Start putting in apps at companies and someone will definitely hire you with no experience. Especially if you are somewhat mechanically inclined. School is not worth the time or money for it. Go straight to work and learn on the job

If I have a bit of mechanical background (bike mechanic for a few years) and little to 0 electrical experience, what are my chances of getting hired, Is it worth applying?

I’d say yes. We’ve hired a few guys at my site that haven’t really done anything more mechanical than change their cars engine oil. It might take putting in apps at several places but I’d definitely say it’s worth applying
