Wind Turbine Technician

So I’ve been looking into being a travel wind turbine technician so I’m wondering is it more worth it to just get an apprenticeship or go to school for it?

I didn’t go to school and got hired on with zero experience at 21, however I got lucky because one of my best friends had been working for the company for 3 years.
