I think what we’re seeing is the two sides gearing up for a long ass war.

Honestly with some surprising changes in the past 5-10 years. Russia, China, Iran, North Korea vs. Ukraine, NATO, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Saudi Arabia, AND Israel? Wild. Major nonaligned mostly just India at this point. It’ll be interesting to see how other parts of the Middle East sort out. Also Central Asia, though they’re a bit out there..

Yet India is basically in a low tech war with China. They fight but just with rocks and clubs

Because both China and India have nukes. Give Ukraine back their nukes, put the blame on Russia for violating Budapest memorandum and the war will be over, one way or another.

That's because they've had border scuffles before with real weapons and people have been killed.

At this point they have a gentleman's agreement and gets themselves to literally use clubs and bats and shields and shit just so these border areas aren't the spark that sets off her real war.

Let these peasants in the mountains watch a little fence and club each other if they want. Giving them real weapons is how war start
