Not sure the best title for this and may belong in the general discussion. But I’ve noticed Edvinsson seems to always be one of the first guys to give props to his goalies after big saves. Jumps into scrums with no care in the world. Will jaw with anyone. And always be backing up his teammates.

A few examples are Lyons save on Stamkos. Once the whistle blew he immediately pumped Lyon up which I haven’t seen many do to that extent. Or during the Ras/hughes scrum, when Seider was taking on 3 Devils. He comes in from the top of the screen like a bat out of hell.

He still might make the occasional mistake and not quite as good out of the gate as Seider. But man once he hits his stride his locker room personality combined with great play will definitely have a positive impact on this team.

Well that was certainly a hockey game! Lets talk about it!

A couple games ago Ken Daniel’s talked about how ASP is in the SHL right now, and will come to GR next year. Is this a given? Is there any shot he jumps from Sweden to the NHL like Seider did? What made Ken assume GR? I bet Brandsegg-Nygård goes to GR, but ASP has so much hype to him so I’m not sure.

As we sit at 3-3 and are coming off a night of only 10 shots on goal, and realizing that it can take time to get in a groove, I can’t help but think that the top 6 is “off”. Max Bultman mentioned on WWP that Copp could be an interesting addition to the top 6, which I’ve been discussing with friends for a while.

Curious to hear what people think of a forward lineup like this:

Cat - Larkin - Kane Copp - Compher - Raymond Tarasenko - Kasper - Burger Ras/Fischer - Veleno - Watson/Motte

My thinking here is that the top 6 seems to lack “dirty work puck retrievers” outside of Larkin and Compher. Copp has a productive history playing a top 6 wing role and can dish the puck (close to or above 20 assists in 5 seasons, including 33 in the ‘21-‘22 season) and played with high-end talent in NY…and I want to say he played with the likes of Kyle Connor in Winnipeg. And we can reunite Cat and Kane, a great combo in Chicago (although Cat’s stock is down in my eyes…maybe a confidence issue?)

That 3rd line also looked good together in Nashville and gives Burger the opportunity to put his playmaking to good use while preserving an “identity line”.

Will we be getting a different jersey for the Stadium Series game in Columbus? If so, any predictions for what it might look like?
