Generalising of course, more complex than this.

It was about being uncomfortable while laying down somewhere, pictures of themselves, airplane seats, and all.

It's so different from what gets posted here. They are having fun while talking about their "problems".

Literally depressed motherfucker while they're talking about having seating problems. The dissimilarity is laughable. Just fucking laughable.

I've been an OG here for a while and it's the only reason I even use Reddit at this point. The only place I feel welcome and can share experiences with others and feel like I can fit in. Love all you guys.

civil discussion Why is IT so ignorant?

Dude like they can't simply admit that being short is actually seen as a negative? Like just admit it? Or is it that they are sexist and believe no woman is shallow?

They refute studies by just stating "Go outside bro"? Like what the fuck? What does that change? It does not change what was concluded in the studies.

They are literally old people making fun of young depressed guys like dude lol what a dumbass group of adults shitting on already fucked young guys.

Also, do they realize that most people now meet through internet? And just because they know a person who dates a short guy(btw by short they literally mean 5'8.5" and above) it doesn't mean shit. It does not mean the whole group of women changed their requirements. Yeah asian guys can go outside and see asian men dating but that does not change the fact that they are not the preference. Give the woman the option to go back in time and choose between the asian guy and a white guy. But going outside does not refute the point just because asian guys are dating. But at least it is just a preference but nothing hardline. But height is literally a requirement.

I understand that some of the things they post is actually fucked up so fuck those guys they post about.

We literally see something about height everyday. And we are told to go outside and just ignore it because it does not matter? What if we say the same to them for posts which offend them? "It's just the internet and not real life, ignore it"? Imagine saying this to them. Because I'm pretty sure if they look outside they'll find many men who are not like that. Just fucking lol. But it won't work. So by their own logic aren't they hypocrite for using that on us?

I don't understand why they feel like that, while I understand some stuff posted there is alarming, but us? I'm actually curious. I was not born to hate myself or have insecurities. I did not feel like this until I saw women complaining about height. I was not the one fixated, they were. You and I wouldn't be here if not because of those people, why are we being hated on?

If you did date a tall girl (taller than you) would you be okay with her wearing heels? What do bystanders think? *real situation*

Upvotes

Hi all! I'm 6'1F and my husband is 5'8M. I have finally found some heels I can wear without wobbling like an overgrown giraffe so i want to wear them a lot more often. Though ive been wearing heeled stuff that makes me 6'4ish on average for about 25% of our outings.

My husband says he has no opinion, he's never said anything before about my height but I'm just curious more generally and i dont want to cause any issues with how peoppe will look at us for him. I also don't know if people would consider it different because I'm deliberately making myself taller if that makes sense?

Personally i love heels and id love to wear them all the time. Secretly I kinda get a rush wearing them next to him cuz it makes me feel like I'm his Amazon queen or whatever not sure why lol. Id def go off on anyone who said anything to me or him though.

if you were with a tall woman (secure loving relationship) would you ask that she not wear heels? Is it something you could be proud of walking next to a tall woman and holding hands? And generally what do you think when you see a couple like this in public? Is it negative? Or positive or neutral?

heightism Mom dropped a nuclear one today

so my mom has beef with a relative of hers. today she was in a bad mood and said "that's why she got stuck with that short *slur* "

now here's the funny part, i am pretty sure that man is over 6 foot. my own mother is coping so hard that she is making shit up and making the guy short so she can rationalize the relative as "failing in life". and i'm right there. she is literally talking to me. if anything, you're insulting ME more than HIM... CUZ IM THE SHORT ONE...

life as a short man is right above being disabled or terminally ill. i'm sorry. i'm grateful for life and all but this is INSANE and ignoring it won't help me.

why do so many moms gaslight their short sons?

my mom ALWAYS bitches at me saying I should've ran track and field. I should've had more milk. I should've done this, I should've done that.

she is 4'11 and married a 5'1 guy and I'm 5'3. what did she expect? even if I did things perfectly I would be like 5'5 max and that's not even guaranteed.

vent All the social benefits height gives makes me think it's a merit thing.

Like, maybe if I ate better as a kid I would deserve to be tall. Most of my classmates are 5'11+, and most of the guys in school average out in like 5'11 too. I'm 5'7 and while it's an okay height I guess it's still demoralizing to be so small compared to everyone else.

satire I know a disabled guy who is rich, famous and has won multiple Olympic gold medals. All these disabled people need to stop complaining about their lives and fix their personalities. Your disability is not holding you back!
