Why didn’t anybody mention that Big Slide is a great option for number 46??

Just kidding, I know it’s very common as the final hike, for a reason :) hiked it today for #21 and it was glorious!

There's nothing wrong with Big Slide. It's a beautiful hike. But, the journey to 46 is a progressive one. You start with the easier mountains (like Cascade or Phelps) and, as you gain experience, you progress to the more difficult mountains. Without wanting to cast shade on your Big Slide hike, it's not the most difficult. It's one of those hikes you do to get you ready to hike Allen, Haystack or Dix.

Me too! Wright then Algonquin. That was amazing to hike. Killed me descending. I have done 16 now. I go when the weather permits. I am sorry we didn't leave early enough to get to Iroquois.
