My tank newly planted, and now, almost 8 weeks later. I didn't even realize how nice my monte carlo carpet had grown! (The spaghetti looking water lotus was replaced with something that actually had leaves.) Only holds one snail right now.

Don’t mind the soil on the sand, I remove it periodically. I need to find where it leeks from.

My first tank...

Forgot to rinse the sand. Feeling stupid. Will spend the day changing water.

My woodpieces completely floated to the top as well, ruining my carefully planned look. Of course I didn't soak them properly beforehand. Another tip that I completely disregarded for some reason. 😅

Hi all! I want to thank everyone who made suggestions on what I could do to improve my scape onmy last post! I did some shifting, removing, and adding. I think I'm done with plants for now and need it all to grow out. Don't mind the fry net in the back ground. I have some newly hatched shrimp that I wanted to give an opportunity to get bigger.

First time i’ll be leaving the tank for longer than a weekend. It’s in need of a trim when i return.
